I love the songs i've heard from the album so far (Promiscuous, Maneater, No Hay Igual)

I've also seen the video for Maneater, and I have to say I wan't too impressed -- it just had Nelly dancing in a club (or something like it). It's a good video, but not what I was expecting -- I was hoping for some sort of acted out thing... not just another club-focused vid

'Maneater' is released as a single to promote the album in Europe. I'd prefer 'Promiscuous girl' mysefl tho.

I haven't really liked Nelly Furtado before , but this new album seems really good. I'm just wondering if her fans think she has sold out ? the new album is quite a departure from her original sound. her sound was this foly pop like on 'I'm like a bird' and now the new album is by timbaland & scott strorch and really mainstream R&Bish pop.

I hated her older stuff! I have sort of a "guilty pleasure" for Promiscuous... I usually hate that R&B/hip-hop but it reminds me of Jpop (namie, kumi) a little and I like when she sings in it...

I have to say I really like her folky touch she gives to her songs, but I can't help but like her hiphop R&B influences as well. She's a very versatile singer... has anyone else heard her duet with Spanish singer Juanes, Fotografia? That's bordering on my favourite song by her, tied with many others of course

I agree Cory. She's really talented in all areas of music Yes I've heard fotografia. It's OK. Not really my favorite but I thought they sang it well.

MCT: I thought Folklore was boring. She lost herself completely on that album. I kept thinking "Where's Nelly?" when I listened to it. I like it when she mixes it up. Folklore was bland.

Yep, I heard Fotografia, and it was quite nice, I guess. Need more listens...

As bland as Folklore was, it still had a batch of better songs than Whoa Nelly and it definitely was more consistent. Whoa Nelly was nice, but it all sounds so darn commercial in the end. I'm with Folklore..

Try is my fave Nelly song ever ever ever ever ever. Second is **** On The Radio, then Explode.

I loved Woah Nelly, but I liked Folklore even more. One Trick Pony I think is my favourite off the CD, as well as Try, Forca and recently Childhood Dreams. On Woah Nelly I'd say my favourite is Hey, Man! I hope this new CD follows suit and is full of great songs

The songs from Folklore just keeps on growing on me too.. Currently I'm in love with Picture Perfect and Grass Is Green..

Is No Hay Igual a single? Or is it Promiscuous only? Or is she releasing two singles at once?

EDIT:
Quote:
The album marks the first time in music history three different lead singles have been released simultanously to promote an upcoming album. The dance track "No Hay Igual" has been shipped to Mexico and South America, "Promiscuous" featuring Timbaland to Australia and North America, and "Maneater" to stations in Eurasia.
