At the crack of dawn this morning, I was just pounding on my keyboard writing some lyrics, and holy crap you guys, I was so focused on it, I was working VERY diligently. I finished them up, did a quick check over them to make sure they were good, and I was saying "Wow, these are really well done!!" and I couldn't wait to send out an email about it. All was happy.

Then after that, I saved them, and I just needed to send the director the e-mail, and just as I thought about that... the computer froze. I begged the gods not to do this & wake me up from my nice dream. Okay no, actually I begged for this to be a nightmare I could wake up from. But no, this was reality. Everything, EEEVVEERRYYTHING was gone. HAH! I'm pretty sure I went white as a ghost. But now I've finished partially rewriting parts of it.

My heart still hurts... Life must go on, these things inevitably happen. Gaaah dangit... I'm gonna go drink some aojiru now.

I think Ayu would have clarified "remix album" on her TA message if it were a remix album. She definitely talks in her message like it's something she's personally been working on for awhile, and not a snowball's chance downstairs that she'd be talking about the remix album that they just started planning in such a manner. Don't worry guys, it's an original album. I'm sure of it. ^_^

Yes, I get what you mean. I will like to say that I'm not the one complaining that TA isn't worth my money. I'd be a hypocrite if I did, since I'm the one reposting all the TA diary translations illegally.

What I was going on about was how some AHS members have been going on and on bashing TA members, saying how lucky we are to have this and have that, but if truth, as aura~ has also said, what we essentially get is new info and TA diaries first, before anywhere else. Yes, once things are posted onto TA, it can leak out to the world through piracy for all TA members care, they knew about it first, that's what matters IMO.

But now with Twitter, all sorts of information are leaking out to the unpaying public, bypassing TA altogether. OK, I'm going to be blasphemous and say that, yes, ayu herself has been a little to blame for all this. And before everyone storms on me, I'll give examples. New CM with Softbank, collaboration with PEACH JOHN, ayu announced she was doing these things on Twitter, and TA only got info months later when the actual products came out. Newer examples, new remix album, new album by Xmas. All these important things announced on Twitter, and not a peep over at TA. Yes, these weren't intentional leaks, ayu was just replying tweets from fans (Japanese fans themselves, no less), and these "classfied info" probably just slipped out. And all the small but important tidbits: "CMJK-san just wrote a new song for me, excited to add lyrics" "so-and-so directed the latest PV, look forward to it!!!!" All these innocent little updates on Twitter probably meant alot to fans. We were promised the latest updates about ayu, and if we don't get that, then yes, there will of course be a few angry souls out there.

One more thing, anyone ever considered about how the Twitter war may not be between international fans and Japanese TA, but between Japanese TA and Japanese non-TA themselves? Because, when you think about it, who stands to gain the most out of all these leak business? Fans who can get first-hand info from leaks and also get replies from ayu on Twitter -because they are native speakers- and not paying anything?? There you have it. I'm quite sure the people TA are really angry with are those other Japanese fans who don't want to pay for TA (when they can) but are getting all these privileges. Because as many other members have said, we international fans are too far away anyway, no concerts, extra shipping to buy CDs and stuff, little recognition as an organized fanbase. We're just as badly off. And yes, as aura said (plus my own personal experience), Japanese fans love us foreign fans, they're all totally hospitable and friendly once they know you've come all this way to support ayu. I've had Japanese TA friends offering me "a place to stay for free" if I ever go back to see ayu in concert again. So yeah, maybe the anger wasn't even directed at us to begin with.

Sorry for this long post, but I've just got tons to get off my chest lol.

If you have an problem, express your feelings in a clear, decent manner. Write her a message on TA or maybe rally some fans to write multiple messages about it on TA (hey, it worked for Ayu Trance 4). Address the issue, but not with hostility. Because if you make Ayu upset with rude behavior, then I have a problem. And other fans who want to defend Ayu have a problem and it creates all this unnecessary hostility towards each other when it could all be avoided if the people who complained weren't acting childish.

People have a right to be upset, of course, but what defines you as a person is how you handle things. We've seen time and time again that Ayu handles negativity with the utmost classiness, so why can't her fans?

I agree, but even the classiest idol has her "crazy fans". No one, not even ayu, can prevent having some fans that just don't think before they speak.

And though the fans complaining may seem rude, we have to think about it in the Japanese context. That country is the epitome of politeness, no matter how angry the message, most of them still use polite language. Only a couple of them bordered on being rude, and only by addressing her in more rough, manly speech. No matter what, most tweets never sound as hostile as when we translate them into English. So we can't really say those fans haven't been polite, because they have. Therefore, the only thing I didn't like was how they tried to make ayu feel bad for "neglecting TA", which is a valid point, but guilt-tripping's still a childish thing to do. Oh well, as I said, out of every million fans, someone is bound to turn out to be a selfish idiot.
