Band's Bio

Formed in April 2007 , BREAKERZ is a J-rock trio that is made up of 3 gorgeous & extremely talented guys : frontman vocalist DAIGO & guitarists AKIHIDE and SHINPEI .

BREAKERZ started off as DAIGO and SHINPEI's project . Meeting through a mutual friend and various recording sessions , they worked together to make a demo . DAIGO is in charge of music and lyrics while SHINPEI is in charge of arrangements .

In the span of 1 month , they created 40 songs . Later on , they are joined by DAIGO's longtime friend who has worked many times with him in his band , songwriting , playing guitar and singing chorus . That is AKIHIDE & the 3 of them joined together to form BREAKERZ .

The origin of the band's name is "壊SHITAI solid" , which means to have a "destroy the moment" feeling , in that there is a mission to push the limitations and genres of music in the future .

BREAKERZ's name was chosen by SHINPEI (YAY ) . He chose the name because he stated that before the completion of a song , it gives the other members an idea of how their roles in the group is going to be like , be it whether you're a singer , songwriter or a composer .

Their music can't be described in just one word . It's a fusion of AKIHIDE's UK rock sound and SHINPEI's American rock sound with DAIGO's sexy voice . Their historic debut is on 6 June 2007 with their first single WAKE UP MY SOUL / THE TRAIN's GONE ... became available on iTunes Japan .

BREAKERZ is signed by ZAIN Records , a member of the Being Giza Group .

The trio made their major debut with their self-titled debut album on July 25th . Their first live was at SHIBUYA BOXX on August 5th . BREAKERZ doesn't have a bassist nor a drummer , so they use various support members for recording and lives .

This's the success of 3 wonderful hot guys in their 30's (!!!!) & they have definitely come a long way since the beginning of their formation

They might be in their 30's but they're kids at heart at the end of the day

all 3 of them love each other , well probably way too much as evident to the gazillion fanservice rabu rabu moments between them . Oh guys will be guys what can I say ?

Well , other than that being hot , he's boyish , charming , handsome , cute & somewhat baka .

Despite his somewhat serious & stoned face , he's actually a very funny person & I will not be surprised if he's the one that came up with the cheesy dance moves going on for Crystal Night , BAMBINO ~Bambino~ & LOVE FIGHTER ~Koi no Battle~ xD

He sure does love to dance a lot (well at least he tried LOL) for all 3 songs during their live performances too hahaha

His speaking voice is surprisingly low as compared to his singing voice hmmm

DAIGO also causes girls's hearts to go !!! all the time especially when he updates his blog on a daily basis & quite a lot of entries he penned are extremely fanservice worthy 8D

He receives something like close to 500-1,500+ comments replies for every blog entry he post without fail D: & you never know what random stuff he can blog about .

From line spacing to not wearing pants (!!!) to his handphone battery running flat to posting a pic of his socks (???) , really anything goes in DAIGO's own little world haha

DAIGO loves performing tons of fanservices to the other 2 live on stage , especially with AKIHIDE 8D & he knows how to put up a great show everytime without fail .

Together with AKIHIDE , he 'raped' & 'stripped' SHINPEI in the dancing moves clip segments of BAMBINO ~Bambino~ & LOVE FIGHTER ~Koi no Battle~ , towards the (almost) conclusion of the clips X______X ugh guys will be guys xD

His late maternal grandpa was the former prime minister of Japan ie. Noboru Takeshita & he has an older sister whose name's Eiki Eiki & she's a mangaka (comic artist/cartoonist) .

DAIGO received a new MC corner in the show Waratte Iitomo hosted by MUSIC STATION's Tamori & came up with 7 crazy whack 'bands'/songs during his spare time & they're hilarious

the Wednesday edition of Waratte Iitomo has a segment called , "Happyou! Shiranakya Ikenai !? Saishin Waado Tenrankai" (Announcement ! Exhibition of Must-Know Trendy Words) . Born from DAIGO’s wild imagination , these 'songs' came to life one after the other & DAIGO supposedly was only given 1 week to write & compose each 'song' too xD

the posters for each 'band' / 'song' , the ideas were created by him . It's the staff that tends to over photoshop him with odd people in the weirdest way possible

so much so that all these 'songs' (in total 9 of them) have been complied to a mini 'album' which shares the same title as the segment & it was released on 12th May xD

This is the first time in 28 years since Waratte Iitomo began to start broadcasting on Fuji TV in that such a CD is being released & it's the world's shortest mini 'album' , clocking in at about 11 mins or so LOL

Waratte Iitomo ! Happyo Shiranakya Ikenai !? Saishin Word Tenrankai debuted at #6 with 1st week sales of 11,145 & its peak position's even higher than their albums LMAO D:

DAIGO is famously well known for his signature WISH rock pose which he always do it over & over & over again he's not tired with doing that at all isn't it ?

This came upon when DAIGO was randomly doing hand movements out of the blue & then suddenly both of his hands come together to form the pose that's he famous for now xD

On why he use the word WISH , it's because it derives from the word Wissu which's like a greeting that school students used , kind of like the Japanese version of the word 'hi'





see what I mean ? . It does get annoying sometimes but with a cute face like this , I can pardon him anytime of the day 8D

Other than his famous catch phrase WISH , from Jan this year onwards , he has added another catch phrase to his lingo aka Kuraimu

he said that Kuraimu = climb = up = rise = get fired up 8D & that climb = noboru in Japanese . And it's also his late grandpa's name too xD

This all started after DAIGO bought an album by Hilcrhyme (Pronounced "hiru-kuraimu" XD) & he talked about this in his blog on Jan 19th -_-''' & this's accompanied by an epic fail 'dance' that he nowadays love doing too T_T


He's responsible for writing/composing close to 80% - 85% of the group's material & his grandma has a dog whose name's Lily



In his 1st appearance in Hanamaru Cafe , he said that onstage he's a DoS while in his real life , he's a complete DoM . No wonder that explained all the antics he engaged with the other 2 onstage & also in the making of clips of their PVs 8D

Then again it's said that his past ex girlfriends were all DoS to begin with & call it terrible or whatever but it's always his ex girlfriends & not him that does the dumping in a relationship X_X

There was 1 girl whom DAIGO said that up to now he cannot forget about her & she did 1 of the worst things I can imagine aka dump him on the eve of his birthday ! This's so cruel & can you imagine if this were to happen to you ? sheesh

But I wouldn't blame his ex girlfriends for doing so since DAIGO himself said that if he's in a relationship , he will give it 100% & he will be 'DAIGO at full speed/force' so I guess the needy side of him killed him in this aspect

The upside's that he will neglect work & put romance as his maximum full priority though LOL but the downside's that if the band's music material starts going downhill to me , I will know why this's happening xD

See DAIGO's living proof that despite having the looks in being the hot frontman that he's in BREAKERZ , he just cannot get the girls at all >_<

Also would it kill ZAIN RECORDS not to over photoshop him in the group's pics ?! He's already pretty/hot in his own right so stop overdoing it please !

1) 1 of DAIGO's many idols is David Bowie . He even dressed like David in some of the pics you can find in his photobook DAIGO FIRST PHOTOBOOK DAIGOING L.A .

Aside from David Bowie , DAIGO has tremendous respect to Himuro Kyosuke (whom composed DAIGO's debut solo single MARIA when he was DAIGO☆STARDUST) , Acid Black Cherry's yasu , L'Arc~en~Ciel~'s hyde & holds them in high regard/esteem . In fact BREAKERZ super respect ABC's yasu , so much so that DAIGO calls yasu Aniki / elder brother in his blog .

He's also good friends with Anna Tsuchiya , SID's lead singer/frontman Mao , GACKT & abingdon boys school's lead singer/frontman Takanori Nishikawa aka T.M.Revolution

2) Prior to the release of DAIGO FIRST PHOTOBOOK DAIGOING L.A , it was DAIGO's 1st visit to US where he went to L.A for 5 days to shoot/complete the photobook

Known as Aki , he's rumoured & said to be the oldest in the group (you're kidding me ?!?!) & also he's the shortest in the trio LOL just look at any of the group pics & you know why so xD .

Unlike DAIGO , He & SHINPEI do not reveal which year they were born in .

Aside from that , he's a very talented & mysterious person & I feel that his songwriting & compositions are fantastic like seriously

a guitarist who plays delicate pitch sounds and shows unique performances on stages & is always at the receiving end of fanservice moments from DAIGO X_____X I'm not complaining , I want somemore LMAO

it's funny that a lot of guys like kissing him onstage o_O , be it on his cheek or full on the lips I wouldn't blame them since Aki has a cute face if you look at it haha

He ganged up with DAIGO & 'raped' & 'stripped' SHINPEI in the dancing moves clip segments of BAMBINO ~Bambino~ & LOVE FIGHTER ~Koi no Battle~ , towards the (almost) conclusion of the clips O______O which surprised me because I always thought it's DAIGO that will do fanservice stuff to just Aki alone but not anymore xD

despite this , he still looks sexy in that visual kei garb up 8D despite the overuse of too much hairspray & that picture was taken 3 years ago from Acid Black Cherry Live Tourbook from 2007 .

Aki serves as the support guitarist for Acid Black Cherry & some of the guitar pieces that he played are credited by his full name Akihide Satou .

You can find his name being credited as so in some songs/singles in the form of Aishitenai (I Don't Love You) , Fuyu no Maboroshi (Winter's Illusion) & Yasashii Uso (Tender Lie) . Those 3 songs/singles are really good I have to say

Guess in that picture , he was going for the whole visuel kei vibe like image since some of ABC's material are extremely dark , somewhat moody & very rocking .

In fact if your eyes are sharp enough , you'll be able to catch a glimpse or 2 of Aki in Acid Black Cherry's PVs except for Aishitenai . Even though his face's quite blurred out / not as visible as what goes for BREAKERZ's PVs , you can sense Aki's presence in ABC's PVs as he has a certain unique style of playing his guitar .

Aki always seem to love using 1 particular guitar in red/black/brown colour for Acid Black Cherry's PVs/live performances/gigs & in live performances/gigs he does in BREAKERZ (even though it's quite certain that he & SHINPEI are both assumed to have many guitars in between them to be used for different purposes like recording & etc) *points to the guitar above that pic which I posted of him

He's also said to be a self confessed insomniac which probably explains why he usually updates his blog at the wee hours of the morning & I'm talking about 3am-4am-ish D: the occasional odd ball time that he blogs does shocked me here & there xD , like he did blogged at 9.30am which was so eh ? O_O

Also unlike 'normal' human beings , Aki sleeps at 6am everyday X_X & wakes up at 11am & yeah even I myself don't sleep so late unlike him at most it's 1am-2am for my case

In Aki's past band project ie. NEVER LAND that was a trio which disbanded some 3 years ago , other than being the guitarist , he was the lead singer of the group & he wrote/composed everything .

He even drew/designed the album cover art for their only proper release mini album Beautiful Days & frankly he's a pretty good singer .

You can see (or should I say hear ?) how much he has evolved from his NEVER LAND writing/composing days from then til now & I really hope he can sing again & maybe even do a BREAKERZ no. 1 day

From black to blonde to red , back to black then now blue , what's the next hair colour he might go for ? Purple ?

Also he has an adorable niece whose nickname's BOSS-chan . He sometimes post pics of her in his blog & she's so cute & lucky to have a hot uncle like him <3

& like what I mentioned before , he was a 'rape' & 'stripped' victim in the dancing moves clip segments of BAMBINO ~Bambino~ & LOVE FIGHTER ~Koi no Battle~ , no thanks to the 'wrongdoings' of DAIGO x Aki xD

While DAIGO's catch phrase is WISH , Shinpi's catch phrase is Muscle xD & I think out of the 3 , his body's the best .

You should see his abs muscles during the encore of the DVD footage of their “SPECIAL SUMMER PARTY” @ SHIBUYA-AX gig . He was topless when the guys did B.R.Z. ~Ashita e no Kakehashi~ *drools all over the place xD

Unlike DAIGO & Aki who both write & compose the band's material , Shinpi tends to lean more towards the composing side of things & he always gets the chicks at the end of the day xD

You just have to watch the confession offshot clip of GRAND FINALE for proof DAIGO & Aki have to settle & be contented with each other instead LMAO

SHINPEI said that if he's wasn't a musician , he might consider working as a teacher in a nursery school (really ? LOL) , a sport teacher , or an instructor at the gym . I think he's probably more suited to be a personal trainer since he's quite a gym rat & does muscle weight training most of the time when he's in a gym .

He also has a whopping 13 guitars , in which 6 of them which are used to write songs at home & the rest are used for recording the group's material & in concerts & ladies , form a line , he replied that he's single on his blog 8D

He organised a Q&A session with fans on his blog where he replied to 100 questions that people submitted to him via his comment page & this's 1 of my fave question/answer where he tells everyone his vital stats/measurements xD

The origin of Chappy's name is due to the fact that Shinpi is raising a light brown puppy , since light brown = chairoi in Japanese

I still remembered when DAIGO announced this on Waratte Iitomo , I really thought that was it an early April Fools Day joke ?

it wasn't when I received the email update to preorder the 'album' from CDJapan xD

anyway here're 2 snapshots that Nat took . It's from this magazine called Pati Pati (they take great pics of the guys ) & Shinpi has his own cooking corner (no I'm not kidding)

& I'm guessing that item in the cooking corner's an Okinomoyaki which's a type of fried Japanese pancake with vegetables & lots of Japanese mayo which's a very famous dish in Osaka

well I'm not surprised that Shinpi has a cooking corner with Pati Pati because here & there , he do mention in his blog about this & he tried cooking with help from Pati Pati that has a cooking corner section in their magazine

I wasn't surprised when Pati Pati picked him to be on their cooking corner , it's awesome

for AKIHIDE's case , he has a monthly column in Arena 37C magazine (another great magazine that takes great shots of the guys )

haha on his Arena 37C magazine monthly column , the writing style of his is more or less the same , be it whether you read his blog or the Arena 37C magazine monthly column of his >_<

the only difference's that in Arena 37C , they included a picture of him together with some of his drawings that he does , something(s) that he doesn't do when he updates his blog which = no pics he posted , no smiley's , no emoticons .__.

lol yeah AKIHIDE really can draw very well

in fact all of them can draw well to a certain extent I must add

if you look at Aki's official personal website , all the drawings/animations & etc are all done by him

makes sense since he's also a graphics designer other than being a guitarist

Shinpi he himself said that it's 1 song that they always never fail to perform live (among other staple songs like NO SEX NO LIFE , Ao no Mirai , REAL LOVE COUGH COUGH COUGH COUGH) & it means a lot to the group as SUMMER PARTY / LAST EMOTION's the 1st release of the guys that cracked the top 10 for the trio & since then , every single release of theirs have been top 10 status material

I know the story behind SUMMER PARTY & you're going to go !!! after I told you this

When asked about the story behind this song in various variety shows such as in Shin Domoto Kyoudai which DAIGO appeared in , DAIGO shares that he once courted this girl who had to study as an exchange student in London.

The girl apparently told DAIGO that it would be nice if he came (perhaps not really meaning it). DAIGO took it seriously and went there. While on the plane he was so excited that the lyrics, “Afuredashisouna kono MY HEART” came to mind.

Upon arriving, however, the girl had this “He seriously came,” expression on her face. DAIGO stayed in London for a week, and eventually said the words, “Please go out with me,” but was rejected. (CURSE THAT GIRL WHO REJECTED HIM GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR )

The worst thing's that he dubbed that experience as 'miserable london' ;__; & when he returned back home to Tokyo , he wrote lyrics naturally

lyrics/phrases like 'despair attacks me'

I'm not sure what's the after effects of that song after SUMMER PARTY but I suspect it's LAST EMOTION even though he didn't said whether was a song inspired by the after effects of him getting dumped in London T-T

it's really ironic/odd that for his case , it's his ex girlfriends that all dumped him one by one which's so X_X
