What are you guys doing for July 1st, if anything?

I've always wanted to have a party to celebrate the unofficial start of summer, like ayu used to do (still does?), but I'm just very bad at organizing and hosting things, haha. But I'll definitely be listening to a bunch of ayu summer songs.

I'd love to have a party though...like if a bunch of col AHS members were close enough to meet up and do it. Lol but oh well.

Anyway, just thought would be a fun idea.

Haha this is cute. I've never *done* anything specifically on July 1st (safe for listening to the song itself with more 'heart' than usual) - where I came from it's summer all the time, so. And where I'm now, I don't know; haven't thought of anything yet

I'm sure it'll be pretty hot here where I live. Maybe I'll at least get to go to the beach that day...that would be really fun.

When she released July 1st a couple of years ago, she mentioned in some kind of interview that the song was about her partying/ having fun june 30th all night long until it was early morning in July 1st, with friends.

^^That's the significance behind that date for ayu. Every year she used to get together with her friends and have a party to celebrate summer. I'm just not sure if she STILL does it. It would be nice if she does.

Every year in London there's a big Canada day celebration where they mark off trafalgar square and erect a huge stage - there will be Canadian beer, Tim Hortons stand, floor hockey tournament, native dancing, mounties to talk to, face painting, and Our Lady Peace is headlining!!! So excited!!!

I don't imagine they'll play July 1st though...

I could go for some Tim Hortons right now, I haven't eaten in a while. I know for sure I'll keep July 1st on replay that day

I wonder if I should go with some friends to the harbour front and watch some fireworks and such.

Ideally, I'd like to just buy a bunch of liquor and appetizers for my guests, maybe grill some hamburgers, hot dogs, and barbequed chicken, followed by swimming in the pool and just having an all-around fantastic time. That's my fantasy. If only it could come true!

I don't think I've ever done anything special on July 1st. :/ I'm boring. I don't even celebrate the start of summer since for me summer starts in June...

Going to the beach would be great, though!

I listen to many versions of July 1st, I put Ayu's logo on all kinds of documents/places.
