Autumn & songs

Yesterday, I was changing the songs on my mp3 player and this topic came to my mind.

Which songs do you like to listen to when the fall is coming?

I always listen to Tatoe Donna ni... by Kana Nishino when the leaves start to fall. It's a very "warm" song to me.

The bittersweet sound of Sayaona feat. SpeXial by Ayu would probably sound great as well, can't wait to give that one a try! I also like HANABI as well (although that matches rainy summer nights more than anything).

Gekkou by Chihiro Onitsuka is good for when I go apple picking lol! As well as Cut me free and Be your friend by OLIVIA.

I listen to my iPod when I walk in the autumn lol I like creating atmosphere.

Ami Suzuki - TRUE, Bitter, SWEET DANCE
ayumi hamasaki
HAPPY ENDING, It was, Sayonara, Merry-go-round, Last minute, SCAR, Dearest, MOON, Missing, November, LOVE ~Destiny~, reminds me, is this LOVE?
BoA - Eien, close to me, Your color, Only One

The sleeper/spaceborn remix of from your letter.

Someday by Koda Kumi.

Some Gackt stuff.

The past two years, I've made myself mix CDs of Japanese autumn-y songs I don't already have in CD format to listen to as the leaves start falling. I'm pretty happy with both of them, so here are the tracklists.

2013 Edition:
1. BoA - Call my name
2. Do As Infinity - Desire
3. Kalafina - Signal
4. MISIA - DEEPNESS
5. Chihiro Onitsuka - infection
6. Hikaru Utada - Sakura Nagashi
7. alan - Kagome
8. Ikimonogakari - Kuchizuke
9. Mami Kawada - u/n
10. GIRL NEXT DOOR - Day's...
11. Eiko Shimamiya - Yellow -1st Chapter-
12. Nami Tamaki - Zero no Sora
13. fripSide - late in autumn
14. MiChi - Perfect World
15. GILLE - LIFE
16. miwa - Delight -ballad version-
17. BoA - Only One

2014 Edition:
1. alan - Gunjou no Tani
2. Sakanaction - Music
3. Yoshikuni Douchin - Failure
4. Ayaka - Sora to Kimi no Aida ni
5. AI - Voice
6. MELL - Fascination
7. Mami Kawada - Mirai no Tsubu ~I'm formed~
8. KOTOKO - Lament
9. Ayumi Hamasaki - Tell All
10. Love Planet Five - Tenjou wo Kakeru Monotachi
11. GILLE - Place To Go
12. Crystal Kay - Over and Over
13. BoA - Every Heart -Minna no Kimochi-
14. Ikimonogakari - Kaeritakunatta yo -acoustic version-
15. Anna Tsuchiya - Melt Into Blue
16. Hikaru Utada - Passion

Now I'm wondering if I should also make one this year... If I did, I'm sure it would contain at least: Sayonara wa Emotion by Sakanaction, If by MONKEY MAJIK, tears or Hane Ari Tamago by Ai Otsuka, something by moumoon (cocoon, Hallelujah, memento, Everyday, Aoi Tsuki to Ambivalence na Ai... so many options), maybe Beautiful World by BENI...

Other notable autumn songs:
- Akizora no Kanata by Eiko Shimamiya: The poster child of upbeat, positive-with-a-pinch-of-bittersweet autumn songs everywhere - they don't always have to be slow or dark!
- Slow Step by Healing Leaf: See above
- Tracks 4-9 from Chihiro Onitsuka's album TRICKY SISTERS MAGIC BURGER: This is just a fantastic string of songs in general, but they are really, especially right for autumn
- Dream Fighter and 1mm by Perfume: 1mm was my anthem back when it came out, and Dream Fighter is a great pick-me-up for dark, rainy mornings; both are definitive seasonal tracks for me
- Swallowtail Butterfly ~Ai no Uta~ by yanaginagi: This song is amazing, and I've heard so many good covers of it, but yanaginagi's might just be my favourite, and it really suits my early autumn mood
- Still missing you by MiChi: Such a lovely, warm, melancholic song; makes me feel like wrapping myself into a blanket burrito and sipping warm, spicy tea while watching the yellow trees

I could apparently go on forever, but I think I've said enough for one post.
