So in Japan it's already October 2nd and it's time to wish the ultimate queen ayu congratulations and heartfelt birthday wishes!

She just turned 37 today (looking 27 most of the time).
Happy birthday ayu! I wish her health, happiness and a lot of more years of making music and perform like she loves to do!

Happy Birthday Ayu. I can't even begin to imagine how different all of our lives would be without her! It's crazy how someone born not only before our time but so far away from most of us AND being born into a separate culture speaking a different language can have such a huge impact and influence on all of us. Amazing how our paths became intertwined with her artistry.

Happy birthday Ayumi.
She is my inspiration and yes she change my life, well at least when life was shitty.
I am in my 40s and I never knew her existence previously, not even when she came to singapore for MTV awards in 2004 or something and I was at the award ceremony and was seated so close to the queen. I never really listen to her and strange enough, I bought one of her CD in 2001- End Roll was then my fav
My life crumbled on 2010.. and she came into my life, bringing me hope with her songs, her life, her determination in whatever she does.. and since then, she has a very important place in my heart.
Well now, so much so that my kids are listening to her and they sometimes jealous of my attention to Ayumi LOL
sincerely, I wish Ayumi the very best. Pls continue to give us your beautiful music and pls come to Singapore again.

Happy birthday Ayu! I'm so grateful for your music and your hard work. You've inspired me, and so many others, by always giving your best even when you're feeling at your worst. You're one of the only artist I've stuck with all these years and I'm pretty sure I'm going to be with you for life. I can only hope to try half as hard as you have in your life with my own projects. Not much else to say other than a 'happy 37th birthday' to Ayu, the first J-pop musician I can think of since I got into J-pop late 2006/early 2007.

And it's 2015 already? Man, time sure goes really fast...

I know we're pretty much facing some very fierce headwinds today, but one thing's for sure: there's only one Ayu. (AKB48 is a much different story...I don't really want to talk about it here. This is an Ayu forum, keep it focused on Ayu please!!!)
