In Search for a kool CD SHELF!!

Hippl! i wonder what kind of CD shelf do you have too keep your Ayumi's Cds or Cds in general "safe" & "out of scratches".

I don't like to see the sides fo the CD CASE, the art work for the covers is just really beautiful and i want to be able to show it.

So i'm lookin' for a kool CD SHELf where i could store the Cds but in display... You see how all the Cd shelfs they only allow to show the side of thecd case, well i'd like to know if there is one where it shows the Cover of the Cd.

Thankyou and please if you have a pic share.

Showing every CD cover for a shelve = A waste of space.

If you think about it...the primary reason shelves are made is so that it stores things in a minimum amount of space, not to spread it out. o_O'

Either use a regular CD Shelf and just have one CD on display for each block of the shelf and change it to your liking...err, like this?

Or buy those ones that goes across the edge of the wall like they use in some CD stores (haven't seen a Western CD store use it...so I'm not sure if you know what I'm talking about). But if you bang the wall hard it'll probably all collapse though...because there's only a little bit which holds the CD in place...

Umm, look around in IKEA, they have loads of CD storing devices. Good luck finding such a weird item. o_O'

Yeah, it's all organised into groups by artists and then roughly in chronological order by release from left to right if the cases are of the same size, all because I'm a neatness freak. o__O'

I do that too. Alphabetical by artists, then by year of release; bootlegs always come in lastly. And not roughly even. Exactly correct. And I check if everything's still in order every once in a while.

I have my Ayu CDs and some of my other JPop stood up next to my monitor. I have a CD stand, but it's full of other stuff. I need to get something else to store CDs, maybe a shelf or one of those boxes or racks.

Wow K and Sven, you're really organized o.o;; maybe a case of OCD? LOL i'm just kidding.

The only time i'm ever organized is when i have like, a set. For example, a set of 5 gel pens. I wont use any of them if one is missing. So i could have 4, but i wouldnt use them until i found the missing one.

Haha, mine isn't roughly neither, but sometimes they're forced to be out of order because some cases come in weird and non so wonderful shapes...it wouldn't look neat if it wasn't all even.

Bootlegs and burnt copies doesn't deserve shelf-space, they lie on the ground...

And I check if things are in order once in awhile also.

LOL, indeed. I don't have many bootlegs, just some live shows by a bunch of artists, that's it.

I remember seeing these cool CD racks in the shape of musical instruments. They were wire and the CDs could be set into them.. it's hard to explain. There was a saxiphone one and a guitar... they were pretty cool.

No they don't! I only have one bootleg of Utada Hikaru's Deep River, which I bought because I was so excited I saw a Japanese CD in a store since only bought online before. It wasn't until later that I realized it was a bootleg..

And now I only have 4 blank CDs, all that have songs off CDs I'm getting for X-mas, so I'll throw them away or use them for my cool new art thing after X-mas.
