Which Album to Buy?

Hey ppl, my bday is coming up on the 31st and i dunno which Ayu cd to ask my friends to buy. Which one is most worth it or would a DVD be better? Max only 2. Below is the list of CDs i dont have.

A Best- If you have all the other albums, this one i wouldnt really suggest getting unless you want it for collectional purposes. It has songs from Duty, LOVEppears and A Song for XX.

Rainbow- A lot of people say this isnt her best album (possibly her worst) because it features so many bubblegum pop songs. But I, personally, really like this album. Aside from the coverart (i loooove the rainbow cover) i like songs like Heartplace, Free & Easy, Hanabi, and Over.

A Ballads- Definite recommendation. But, if you're looking for cds for new songs, this one i wouldn't recommend because it only has 2-- Rainbow and Sotsugyo Shashin. But overall, this is a really good collective, because of all the ballad remixes of songs like A Song for XX, You, Who... etc.

LOVEppears- Ayu's more trance/dance motivated album. If you're going for quantity, this would be one of the better choices because it has 17 tracks on the first disc and 5 remix tracks on the 2nd, two of which are extended compilations. Very very nice.

Overall- i recommend LOVEppears and A Ballads.

Personally I'd recommend LOVEppears, it has my favourite early Ayu songs. As kristen said, it also has more tracks than usual.

My second choice would be A BALLADS, but if you want original material instead go with RAINBOW.

I'd go with A BALLADS and RAINBOW. I love LOVEppears too but not as much as A BALLADS (I'm a ballad wh*re) or RAINBOW.

A Ballads for SURE! its my favourite Ayu album, the songs in their are just soo beautiful and nice~

LOVEppears if you want a lot of songs. The 2nd disc also has extras such as commercials and stuff.

And I would definitly get a DVD! COMPLETE LIVE BOX ....well realistically, A Museum or DOME TOUR .

LOVEppears is personally one of my top-ranked albums. I like it better than I am... As a whole, it is probably the best album.
RAINBOW isn't a great album, so I wouldn't get it. But then again, it's not a best album, so that might be a reason to.
A Best is okay. A Ballads is good, because of the songs, and the mix versions of it.

I'd go with LOVEppears and A Ballads.

I'd say Rainbow & Ballads.

Ballads because Rainbow is my favourite Ayumi song ever (also the first one I heard + Ballads was the first album I got). The remixes on the album are really good especially M & A song for XX.

I didn't think Rainbow was a bad album at all, there are some poppy songs like We Wish which I love and great ballads like Hanabi. And it has Free & Easy on it, love that song! (although Hanabi, Voyage and Dolls are on both Balllads and Rainbow, so maybe you might want to choose a different two albums)

Plus both albums have really cool covers.

But anyway i think you should get one of the compilation albums along with one of her "proper" albums.
