According to to this guy, Nagase and Ayu relationship is just a publicity stunt. And you know what? What he said does make sense... but yes, it's a very polemic thing to say, so just read the guy blog and decide by yourself if he's lying or not, if you can trust him or not...

And about Ayu and Nagase paparazzi pics... I always tought they looked a little staged. Lol.

i must admit that the article does not have any prove to back up the claim, so its open to debate really whether its true or not... but what is true is the power that the company have (in this case avex)... i read up about the issue before and this is proven to exist in the japanese society... 情報操作 is real, and it can be found in all the various sectors, not just the music industry...

personally i have been following this ayu-nagase relationship for quite a number of years and to be honest, not a single time have i been thoroughly convinced that the relationship is real... all along there have been this niggling doubt at the back of my mind wondering whether could it be a hoax...

however opinions differ, and i am sure there will be some fans out there who would be absolutely convinced that the couple are indeed still together... well, continue to think that way, no problem... since there is no proof really to suggest otherwise...

at the end of it, if this is indeed a 'set-up', i feel things would then be able to be explained better... but of course we, as in the public, will never know the truth because of 情報操作, which can be considered a dark side of the japanese society...

p.s. for those who do not understand what 情報操作 means, sorry but i really dont know how to express it in english...

All there is to go on is this guys word... written in a blog. He didn't provide proof as far as i can see and he could have easily just made it up. You have to take blog sources with a pinch of salt (probably more than a pinch) because there's no real evidence backing it up, just your word against someone elses.

Personally i've never considered Ayu and Nagase to have anything other than a normal (or as normal as you can have being celebrities in japan) relationship.

well probably because i have too much time on my hands and virtually nothing to do, i thought for a few hours about how this 情報操作 should be translated into english... information control is pretty close but not quite... this is because there is the element of manipulation as well... so information is not only controlled but manipulated as well and that could mean distorting the facts... its sad yeah, but it exist in japanese society...

so to sum things up, 情報操作 would probably be information manipulation... hopefully this explanation will make my earlier post much easier to understand...

I don't think that there's enough proof on the whole engagement thing. Lots of people who read tabloids believe almost anything if it's about one of the well known idols though.

This is ridiculous. Considering how actual newspaper (ie. tabloid) articles get torn apart for making up stories, how can anyone believe a blog with no sources? It's all speculation and it starts with the classic "My friend/boss/colleague told me..." bit.

While parts of their relationship are odd (like how neither of them have talked about each other for a while) a stunt like this would damage Ayumi's credibility.

Of course it's a blog, so we can't expect to be true. But I dunno, the guy seemed very smart and made interesting and pertinent posts, so when he said that he interviewed a music-TV guy, I had no reason to think he wasn't lying. Anyway, I believe .

I always tought how weird are they relationship. First, is weird that neither AVEX or Johnny's tried to stop them. I mean, if it wasn't for a very good reason, I don't see why Johnny's would accept that, they woulde made them broke up. Secondly, everything looks weird about them: the paparazzi pics, the way they are never together even when they're in the same show, the interview of Nagase's father saying he THINKS they're still together... I don't know, it's just plain weird.

But yes, it's just a rumor after all. It wouldn't be nice if their relationship was just a publicity stunt.

Anyway, it's true, agencies in Japan just have too much control. Johnny's for example is accused of corruption, minor abuse, sexual abuse, blackmailing and other things like that and that's a taboo to Japan media. Almost any magazine or TV show talk about those claims.

Oh, and btw, I think there is something wrong with the whole Tim. It wasn't just an usual rumour. It was a very very strong thing. It was in all newspapers, magazines and TV shows. You don't see rumour spread so easily, not even in Japan, so I believe something was true in this rumour.

Anyway, I wouldn't blame Ayu if this was a publicity stunt. Maybe she's just trying to hide who she's really with. /shrugs.

And I never knew Ayumi went to gay bars XD. Thats so cool if it's true.
