CREA's pronunciation

I remember alot of people debating how to pronounce CREA (Ayu's nickname and her white chihuahua's name). Well I stumbled on some old video of Ayu at HeyHeyHey where she introduced some of her songs. She pronounces it with 3 syllables: Ku-rei-ya (as the japanese pronunciation of CREA would suggest)... So it's not the 'english' pronunciation with an 'i' (kuriya),
Anyway; when she calls CREA she just says: Kure, Kure, Kure-chan!

thought I'd just mention it to those who were still wondering

Wouldn't Ku-rei-ya be Ku-re-i-ya (くれいあ) and 4 syllables?

Well, that's just the way Ayu says it...and she has a bit of a Japanese accent that twists the pronounciation.
I would believe it is said "Krey-ah".

Thank you, I actually was pronouncing it one way without knowing how to really say it...but I kind of thought that it was pronounced that way anyway cause the Japanese have some weird ways to pronounce English like words.

Ooo "Ku-rei-ya" sounds cute!

I always said it "Krey-yah" I guess I'll stick to the Japanese way then xD

It's written クレア (kurea) in Japanese, and pronounced just as such. It's not an English word, so it wouldn't follow English pronunciation rules. I always assumed she got it from the Italian "crea" (3rd person of "creare"), as in "she creates". It made sense as a pseudonym for an artist.

But isn't the japanese pronunciation from the honda cm the best? The person from Japan pronunce it, it's official...so Ayu is probably using the same rule.

Ayu is a very creative person, and probably has been since she was a child..

She harnessed it in the world of music thank goodness <3

Imagine a world without Ayu. This would be like the NAS..

I guess it's supposed to be "ku-re-i-ya", but I pronounce it has "cree-ah". It sounds prettier to me.
