How does the "Search: New Posts" function work?

Sometimes it generates a new list immediately, and sometimes it uses a old one.

Search took 0.13 seconds; generated 26 minute(s) ago.

Why does this happen now and then?

Hmm I don't quite see what you're refering to, could you be more specific? I don't see anything out of the ordinary...

I'm only wondering why sometimes it doesn't make a new search, but uses the old results, while in fact there are new posts on the boards. Because if I hit my subscribed threads there can be new posts there while the "New Posts" search shows nothing, and gives me the generated xx minute(s) ago. thingy. This only happens now and then, most often if makes a new search and does not give me that.

Only wondering why it does like that sometimes. If it would be because there haven't been any new posts during the last xx minute(s) I would understand, but to me it seems there sometimes is.

Hey immel! The AHS awards have been put on for 3 years now... usually around this time in the Fall... usually held by jerms but last year said he didnt want to do another one. But they're super fun and entertaining... so many people are on at the same time. There's usually 2 threads, one is the award show and the other is to discuss the award show... it's immensly amusing. The awards aren't serious, the whole show is purely for entertainment value and to celebrate our forum and our members. Seard 'AHS awards' and you'll find the last years, the year before's and the year before's. I think you'd find them fun...

Is there anything on AHS I wouldn't find fun !?

Thanks for the explication/insight or what I should call it. Sounds like an awesome event, something that makes AHS even more perfect than I already find it to be.

About it being a glitch... I wonder.

I read nearly all posts, so it's pretty much the most convenient way, combined with auto-subscription and subscribed threads.
