Reason(s) U Like/Love Ayu

Sorry gotta make this topic, perhaps it has been made be4 in the past, but I think itz worth bringing out again.

Reasons I love Ayu would be her bravery (for going to New York alone to train before her stardom), beauty (her appearance), kindness & playfulness (esp on stage, the way she interact with her dancers and the way she really took care n showed care n concern to them, actually this is the most important reason I love her, itz her kindness, this sets her apart from the trillion of japanese singers), truthfulness (she doesnt fake, she lives life true to herself), her emotional side (she's a strong person but she do shed tears easily when touched by sincerity, eg when a group of young kids sang her happy b-day song), her talent (singing, writing lyrics).

And I almost forgot one important reason: Her humble-ness (she doesnt put on airs or give the kind of condescending attitude, she's also grateful to those who've helped her.)

Phew, finally said what I wanna said, it felt great.

Frankly, (in order)her kindness and her emotional side and also her beauty and playfulness are the top 3, um 4 unchangeable reasons I love and support Ayu.

Yeah her songs! They're kinda like a diary, reflecting her life's ups and downs.
Her songs run very very deep. They could easily touch and move the hearts of millions.

Sadly though, she does not release her records worldwide so most people around the world don't get to see her brilliance.

Ayu did say in an interview (US I think) that if people are willing to listen, she would go anywhere in this world to sing. N she said all these in English! Ayu's English is good! I remember I saw it on youtube.

2. She takes charge of her life, her work, her music, her image, everything.
3. She adapts well to new situations.
4. She's really very talented, but not SO talented that it like, makes me mad to watch her or listen to her XD

Where can I start - Ayu is just great!! I remember the first vid I saw of Ayu's was a Visee cm - the one with Ayu sitting on the crescent moon in a white dress - I completly fell in love with the cm and Naturally the song they used - She's got a unique voice and is so beautifull - I love her gorgeous eyes and she's always happy - I would love to meet her!! Her songs are so catchy - thank god for the rumour I heard that Linkin Park were gonna do a single with Ayu - that got me to check out who Ayu was

Delirium-Zer0, those are good points and I totally agree. #5 is because of her humble-ness, she totally takes care of her fans, dancers, everyone. Her song lyrics really moves the souls of us, fans and non-fans alike.

Chandrachan, thatz nice, so thatz how u got to knw Ayu. For me itz kinda funny, coz I was posting in GameFAQs forum and there's this person who uses the nickname "Ayumi_Hamasaki" and I was kinda like teasing and disturbing him/her.

Then next few days or so I saw the ABEST ad and found out for the 1st time that thatz Ayumi and I decide to buy ABEST. It was the 1st Ayu stuff I bought and I'm glad I did. Then thereafter, I continue to buy mags/CDs/posters/merchandise and practically anything with her on it. Tho now I have cut down a lot. I remember the mags are still sealed in my drawers haha coz wanna keep 'em that way. Once in a while, take them outta drawer for viewing feels great.

I would love to buy mags with Ayu - I'm thinking of getting I am...LOVEppears and Memorial Adress plus Ayu's gonna release 2 BEST albums and I wanna get them too...seriously I'm gonna be skint after getting all that!! Ah! the things we do for Ayu ^_^

totally agree and thats the motive i love and support her =D

1. Her songs have meanings. Unlike some Artists I Can relate to the story she tells through her music.

2. She works really hard and has real determination.

3. Her voice is amazingly powerful. You can tell when she performs that she has put her heart into that performance.

4. She has natural beauty.

For ur point #3, this can be seen on almost of Ayu's concerts, even now as I watch some of the older concert dvds, I cant help but get teary eyes, haha. She's such an incredible person I cant use any word to best describe her... Itz like when she's happy or sad, people around her are so affected by her. When she's happy, we can feel and share her joy and when she drops a tear, we all can really feel the sadness deep down inside.

Chandrachan, haha buying mags reminds me of last time hw crazy I was with buying Ayu stuff. Practically I would visit Kinokuniya every week to check out women's mag with Ayu as cover. Tho itz kinda weird for a guy to be buying women's mags n all but man I just gotta buy it, haha.

The latest mag I bought has Ayu on it dressed in white, v nice. My recent addition to my Ayu mag collection. I would buy mags over Cds being the fact that mags are harder to find once they run out and they're visually appealing and has keeping value, esp when u take them out after mths or years, sorta brings back memories. And buying Ayu stuff has brought me joy, haha.

I like Ayumi because in a world of songs that are just about sex or the latest girl band I think Ayumi is a true voice that girls (and boys) can listen to and take pride in. She has a positive message. I like that she is willing to have fun, and goof around and laugh at herself. I liked on the 'My story' tour she was willing to put her falling down during the concert into the dvd and be so good humoured about it.

I think most fans are captivated by her sincerity and humble persona.

It deserves respect, in my opinion.

I also adore her for being self-less through her music. It's not all about her. She recognizes the world and the fact that there are other people in it. Her writing for others AND herself is very admirable.

Dawnie, I think I saw that on youtube, it is the one when after Ayu was watching the crowd wave and she started to run, slip n fell on her elbow? Haha, yeah, I like the way she laughs after the fall. She recovered the fall with a hearty laugh, thatz the way! She said the last time she had such a great fall was in elementary sch, haha.

Yup she did mention to put it in the dvd n laughed. She even showed the funny video of a rewind and fast forward motion of her fall to her fans. Ayu's great! I mean hw many Japanese singers out there would do that? Very rare. Most have this "I am a star" kinda attitude and would be greatly bothered if they ever had a fall like the one Ayu had.

I enjoy every time she jokes with Yo-chan. It really brings out the playful side of her. Itz great to see the non-performance side of her.

Terri, yup u r totally right, she is concerned with the world and in fact hates being put in competition and rivalry of singers. That prolly explain the tear in the A-BEST cover.
