Fans you know IRL

Maybe this has been made before. (I do not mean to ask if she's been mentioned at school! That was already here! ) I searched and didn't find a topic similar to this. If there's already one, please let me know.

So do you have friends or know of people in real life (meaning you personally come in contact with them almost every day)? I know some of you may have a whole circle, a whole Ayu fan club even, but for some people (like me), it's hard to find an Ayu fan.

I've got one friend who's a fan of Ayu. I mentioned all of it here (<-- in case you're curious to see, I'm too lazy to type).

But today, after my third quarter English exam, a girl next to me was listening to her iPod. The class wasn't all that loud (unless the volume was just loud), but nevertheless you could hear her music. Anyway, the way the notes of the music blended, the way the guitar was playing, the was the drums were beating, it sounded like "until that Day..."! I was really tempted to ask, "What's the name of that song you were listening to?" or "Is that song called 'until that Day...'?" Even if she had said no, I would've just mentioned that it sounded like a song I know (hoping she wouldn't ask about the artist unless she's really a fan).

Anyway, I'm also curious as to whether or not she's a fan because she does the same kind of things Ayu does. Whenever there's a difficult question or something, she'll softly yell, "Ahh~" (more of an "oh" sound that an "ah" sound) before whining to the teacher (which is surprisingly not as annoying as you may think it is). Sure, everybody may do this, but the way she does it seems very Ayu.

So how many people do you know in real life that are fans of Ayu?

My girlfriend is quite active here on AHS.

To answer your question, she's never acting like Ayu in any way. She does like her fashion a lot, and sometimes buy things that she thinks Ayu could wear.

Hum.. A few of my friends are really Ayu fans, I met them randomly around the school~ I remember one girl who I heard listening to "Startin'" So I askes her if she did like Hamasaki and she said yes
There are some who ask me what music I am listening to and they end up asking me to send them her music~

We don't have a little circle of Ayumi fans, but KAT-TUN fans @__@~

I converted my best friend, Steph, about 2-3 years ago. She's a huge Ayu fan now. More recently my close firend Liz also became a fan. When AT2006 came out we had "A Night" (Ayu Night) and watched AT2005 and a couple other concerts. It was so much fun doing all the sing-a-long parts and the Trauma dance with friends.

I don't think anyone does the same sort of things Ayu does... but we love how she looks great wearing many different hair and clothing styles. We were joking about cosplaying as different Ayu's for Otakon. XD

Well I know Brittany and lotusoka from AHS. Other than them I have a couple friends that like Ayu because I used to rub off on them when I listened to her all the time. The gays really take to her pretty well. When I moved into the dorms here I also made friends with the guy next door and he likes Ayu. He always blasts her late at night when I'm trying to sleep and it gets on my nerves.

(I wonder if I should've asked whether A) you have friends that you got to like Ayu, B) you found people in your school/community that like Ayu, or C) you found that your friend likes Ayu too and you never knew it...)

Overanalysing here.

I wish I could make a public poll in my school or at a local church or something and ask whether or not people have heard of her. I'd really love to talk to someone about Ayu's music except my parents. Not that they're not important, but, hey, they have to listen to their daughter!

Here in Spain there are a lot of freak ayufans! All my friends love Ayu, all my enemies love Ayu, all my ex-boy/girlfriends love Ayu! Isn't a surprise for me know ayufans. You can buy bootlegs and merchandising in a lot of shops, there is a Japan fever these last years! Maybe my city is a little city, but Ayu can't walk with calm here...

A) you have friends that you got to like Ayu I have quite a few friends that I like Ayu, but I didn't get them into Ayu... I got some people to like Ayu back in high school after I did my Japanese project, though.

B) you found people in your school/community that like Ayu In high school, it was much rarer. But my university has many, many Asian students, so there are a lot of people that listen to J-Pop. It's much easier to find Ayu fans here.

C) you found that your friend likes Ayu too and you never knew it... No... since normally when I am becoming friends with someone, and they ask me what kind of music I like, I say "J-Pop, especially Ayumi Hamasaki", so if they like Ayu too, they will say, "Oh me too!", so I find out pretty easily.

My best friend loves Ayu. Really. I introduced her to him a couple years ago and he's been hooked since.

My other friend... well. She knows about her. =/ And thinks Ayu's okay.

I've made my honey/bf Ayu crazy, especially with GAME and 1LOVE.
Now we can both watch her pole dance.

Anyway, I was converted into Ayu by my sister's best friend.
She asked me if I knew who Ayumi Hamasaki was and I was like "Oh, she sings SURREAL right?" and we went crazy with joy. I've been buying her stuff ever since last year, but I only have 2 albums
Not that I wont rest until I have them ALL!!!!!!

Hey! No hatin' on the KAT TUN

Anyway, I only know like 2 or 3 Ayu fans... but they're more casual. I'm probably only the one most up to date and actively listening to her all the time~
