Any Others In This Situation?....

I was just wondering if any other Ayu fans are in the same boat as me:

I dont understand any other language apart from English but feel a compulsion to put Ayu on and enjoy the music despite not understanding a word of it!

Her voice with the music and emotion is just perfect and it just draws me in! And watching Ayu's concert DVD's makes me want to understand what shes saying but it may take the special feeling of not understanding it away (if you understand)

So is anyone else in the same boat as me? and understands nothing ayu sings but just loves it completley?

I don't understand what she says word for word, but I remember the meaning of the songs I really like.

micster pretty much covered it all. This is an international Ayu board, and a very low percentage knows Japanese good enough to understand her lyrics or speeches offhandedly, we're more or less all in the same boat.

A lot of people have been studying her translated lyrics or watched her concerts with subtitles to make up for it.

Ayu music caught me after I had been studying Japanese for a while, but my Japanese is only good enough for me to be able to snap up a word here and there so I do not in any way understand what she's singing. But the magic is there.

I was few years ago.. now I understand Japanese, some of it.. Sometimes I understand Ayus whole sentences, sometimes not at all, sometimes party and I try to figure it out.. But even if I don`t know what she`s singing I know it`s something very emotional and powerful ^^

I'm drawn to foreign music just because of the fact that I don't understand anything the singer is saying.
Ayu's songs and performances only encourage me to discover other artists.

I always just think that you don't have to understand any language to enjoy great music. That's my motto.

I haven't really read any of the translations before, so I dont know much of what the songs are about... I speak Japanese but not well enough to understand the song. I'd have to read the lyrics to pick up on what she's singing... but I listen to lots of foreign pop music in differendt langauges I dont know a work of, and I have to agree that there is something nice about not knowing the language. I love languages and just listening to how the language sounds without knowing the meaning is kind of nice

we're all in the same boat...omg...if some people would just paddle correctly...

we should raise munny and have an ahs cruise...it would be all symbolic and everything

it'd be fun! Everyone would get to meet everyone, and we could go out into international waters and have drinks and parties and karaoke and then we could go to beaches and swim, ooo...just not this summer because a lot of us are busy and hiru won't be able to come, next summer!

and...cupcake...you're coming too. End of story
i don't care what you don't do, you're coming

Yeah, I don't understand a word she sings but it's okay because her music's great! I don't really bother reading the translations to a lot of her songs too because I'm too lazy. I guess I should...
