Free & Easy single

I recently purchased the Free & Easy single with her face on the CD. How rare is that? I remember people talking about it, that's why.

Thanks!

Was it supposed to be rare? Or should I say was there any CD of F&E w/o her face? Cos I think for the OS version all had her face on it.

^ That depends. There are also two version of the OS version. One is limited, the other is not. At least that's the way it was for the Taiwan edition of "Free & Easy."

Hmm. Interesting. / / Now you see her, now you dont
So there is nothing exactly different about the CD itself, other than the face and the limited amount of production? Well, i guess it encourages people to buy more of her cd's...

It's not technically rare, but all the copies of it should've been purchased by now since it was limited, so it is rare in that context.

Yes, quite often there is doubt about 'limited' singles. Some say they have a standard print-run and they are advertised as limited to entice fans to purchase them. With this in mind, notice how most of Ayu's singles that are 'limited' are singles released from an album after its been released or singles released on the same day as the album. People may not bother to buy them as they're on the album so if they are advertised as 'limited' then people will, in the eyes of the record company, have a strong desire to snap up their copy. Despite this working for some time, Ayu hasn't released a single post-album since "Daybreak" in 2002 probably it didn't get to No.1 and probably was because it was barely recoupable as a lot of dosh was spent on it. I like post-album singles but its understandable that Avex decided not to tarnish her image or risk wasting money.
