Ayu's earphones in concerts

I am not asking what they are for but since I am a sound junkie I was just wondering if they sell those? In some HD videos of her performance I can clearly see it says "sony"

You mean the ones she has on stage? I'm sure you can buy this kind of stuff, though probably not exactly the same model she had (she always has different ones I believe), just not sure where, becouse they're not just regular earphones, they're like more pro and for stage performances purpose.

Ah, I thought they were like noise-cancelling type of earphones so she can hear herself.

I always thought that those were used for communication with the backstage personnel. Like the backstage people will relay info, countdown, cue,
sound checks, etc....

They are for the song she's singing at that time. When those things aren't in the performance is called 'unplugged' so she has to sing it raw

Well yes, I didn't say they weren't
I'm not sure how exactly noise-cancelling they are and how much they isolate the sound from outside, but I suppose she doesn't hear much from the surrounding, instead she hears the band and her own voice clearly.

Well lol some of the post said what it was for, but I think the earphones are separate from a box(reciever). I wish I can find them online or something, $100 or more for earphones that do what they are advertise is well worth the money.

Ayu's in-ear monitors (that's what they are) probably cost well over a $1000 since they're custom made and it is professional equipment, so I don't think you'd buy em just to use as earphones for your Ipod or other portable players, I don't think you'd hear much of a difference than with a good pair of earphones, when using em just for that.
In-ear monitors from Shure start at around $600, these come with a wireless system.
there are cheaper ones of course and without receiver and stuff, but if you're not up on stage or anything, I'd rather pick up some really good earphones (not too expensive)....or some Ayu stuff..or maybe a plain-ticket to Japan..but that's just me

but if you've got like lots of cash, go ahead, why not? Ayu's look awesome, I don't think I've ever seen em like that, on any performer..

Blasterion: hmm makes alot of sense to me now, I guess sony doesnt sell them or anything. Ill go on the hunt for some nice noise cancelling earphones. but one more thing, the D-snap earphones that come with it do those work with any other mp3 player?or just for the d-snap?

D-snap headphones ONLY work for D-snap. It's not a standard 3.5mm plug.

if you can't get a hold of the d-snap, the s700 series mp3 walkmans from Sony also have noise cancelling (reducing) earphones/abilities.
I'm sure that there are some others as well and more in the future.

I think it plays back her voice or something so she won't sing off key from the echo of the arena. :0

well, this should solve all problems
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/In_ear_monitors

as for the ones used by ayumi... I had the type but can't remember where did I find it... It was a forum about headphones, where people help to recognize such monitors...

hmm you had the type? does that mean it looked like it and you used it for like mp3/ipod usage?

and the s700 series thats a mp3 player correct? If it is I rather stick to the good old ipod. But If you have any other suggestion on nice noise-cancelling earphones, Im all ears.

nope nope, I didn't have them. Only knew the type of them, like model name, etc...
I believe they are not for mp3/ipod... probably they won't work (but who knows...)
