^ There's really only ten or so you really need to know. The rest of the girls are only used in the theatre.

Also, "boku no taiyou" was no. 6 for the week, and sold around 26k. It's their best first week so far.

How I got to know about AKB48 other than seeing them for the first time on Oricon. In fact, I think all of you should watch this to understand what AKB48 is all about (even though you're not a fan, and I have to say, neither am I a fan of them as well).

Boku no Taiyou is great anyway, they deserve such high sales. Although I prefer their dramatic songs about controversial topics. Seifuku + Keibetsu FTW.

Aside from their single stuff, my favorite song is "Blue rose (Team K Ver.)." Sayaka's seriously awesome in this.

I also really like "Dear my teacher" (which is actually one of their b-sides, but I wanted to mention it because Hiichan gets a couple of solos <3), "Faint" and "JESUS."

They were also featured in Downtown's show "LINCOLN", when a member of the comedy duo Summers had to learn to dance and sing with the members, on his 40th birthday. It's not on YouTube, unfortunately, but it was absolutely HILARIOUS!! The girls were quite nice with him too.

I read today on cdjapan that they are releasing a new single, titled unknown, set to be released on June 24th!

I remember about this girlgroup. I remember when I first found out about them, I was shocked / surprised about the # of members in the group. xD

Are they part of the Morning Mosume / Hello Project, or no?

i have all of their songs (single songs to be exact since their stage album was pretty stupid for me...) but for some reason, i'm not too fond of them.

i mean, there's not much personality going on with them. they're such a big group and you can hardly know who sings which lines.. unlike MM, you get to know the members easily.

oh well... ill keep on getting their singles though. xD.
