Interesting thing connected to singles and albums cover

I found this during ayu released (m)u, but I was not sure until she release GUILTY. I found ayu tried to unify her singles and albums by CD covers in some ways by different eras.

Let's take a look!
(miss)understood era








All of these except B&D singles covers are all close-up shoots, so does albums covers.

Secret era





All the singles and albums , expects the Secret CD+DVD covers, they have the whole body photo shoots.

GUILTY era - need to take a look in 2 different ways,
CD+DVD




In here, all of them are half-body (head to chest) photo shoot.

CD only




CD only version of singles and albums have almost to whole body photo-shoot.

I just find this interesting in different parts of eras. Ayu seems want to unify the CD cover in some ways? You can say I think too much, and they can connect each other.. but that is the way I think...

yea i mentioned about the "GUILTY" era similarity before...and another forum member said it lacked originality in this case...which, i have to agree...but it can also feel like a collection kinda thing

I guess, but I think it's mostly a coincidence and they grew to like the trend, not that it was meant to be like that from the beginning

i would have never noticed that...haha. its a small detail for sure, but hey, maybe ayumi did it that way on purpose. or maybe its a coincidence. who knows?

i noticed that long ago. I don't know why they are doing this. A pic of the whole body is better than a close up one. Although sometimes a close up pic of ayu is better than a pic of whole body.

I agree with you. There are really limited ways to takes a picture for a cover: full face, half body, and full body.

On the other hand, I think it's more proper to say that ayu's angle of shots are similar this year. All CD+DVD showing the FRONTAL face (unlike... ehm, let's say hikki's Flavor Of Life, showing a side face). Same to the CD. Standing there, looking at the front (well in GUILTY she tilted a bit, but still she's looking at us).

I've realized that usually her CD only covers are a whole body photo and her CD+DVD covers are a close up photo shoots!

I would've never noticed that. Now with the GUILTY singles I can really see the trend.
