Similar red dress in Madonna's la isla bonita and Ayu's Mirrorcle World PV

Yesterday at MTV is saw Madonna's old la isla bonita-and I think her red dress in the PV looks very similar to Ayu's red dress in Mirrorcle World.

I don't want to say Ayu copies Madonna-I just thought that's funny..

what do you think?

it's not ayu's fault, it's the designers~ and the dress is based like a flamingo? dress, salsa? tango? so i guess many people wear a similar dress, and the designer probably got inspiration from that video, but there's no copying, just inspiration

The only similiar thing I see is the color red.
No offense really but everytime we see something that looks like something Ayu wears or does it must be posted? So it seems at least.

I do see some similarities, but it's mostly just the cut of the bottom of the dress. :/ I mean, yeah it's there, but maybe it was more based on this dress rather than copied from.

I don't think the dresses look much alike even though the dresses both madonna and ayumi used are a specific type of dress used in flamenco or whatever musical style it is, and these dresses are usually colored red.

They are totally different dresses madonna's goes for a spanish look and ayu's is something else, like it's being said the dresses just have RED in common.

Maybe a few similarities, but the only big one I see is the color: red. Madonna's dress has polka dots on the sleeves and the shoulders are ALOT more poofy like.

People should stop trying to look for similarities between Ayu and big western singers, especially Madonna, it's gotten old now

Are you sure you're the right person to judge what should or should not be posted?
Furthermore, I have no issues with this post, seeing as it is in the Ayumi Chat-Room and the OP is doing exactly that, chatting about Ayumi, more precisely, what she saw Ayumi wear.

Both look great, fit their respective music videos and are similar to an extent. I gotta lean towards Ayumi's, though, the way she pulls it off, it's just.. I love to see her on the ground, haha. :O

Haha, the dresses are pretty similar, it's true. I thought that the very first time I saw the Mirrorcle World PV

Yes, there is a similarity but there are probably tons of poofy red dresses that look similar to Ayu and Madonna's. I'm sure Ayu didn't put on the dress thinking "let's copy Madonna today" or something. XD


You could probably go to a dress store like David's Bridal in the US and find something very similar too.


Also: Madonna's dress has a cut on the side from the bottom up to her hip, Ayu's surely didn't have that.

I've seen that video. Some of the comparisons are ridiculous. I mean, I'm sure for every stylish piece of clothing there's going to be a similar one made unintentionally. Or an artist is going to wear something that another artist wore previously unintentionally. People are ignorant to call Ayu OR Madonna a "copy cat" just because they've worn similar things or have had similar performances.
