Anyone likes Ivete Sangalo? (Brazilian pop)

Well, most people here listen to J-pop, K-pop, and american music mostly, but never noticed many people talking about south american, especially brazilian music

I've been listening to Ivete Sangalo for 3 years now and she makes great pop songs that I would recommend like Abalou, A Galera and Berimbau Metalizado, or slower ballads like Quando a Chuva Passar, which is beautiful

Anyone likes her music/shows, or have ever heard about her??

I like some of her songs. Unfortunately my favorites were never recorded as studio songs:

-Céu da boca (mouth's roof)
-Não Precisa Mudar (You don't need to change)

I also love berimbau metalizado (metalized berimbau) -Look at my signature-, Poeira (Dust), Festa (Party) and Abalou (It rocked).

Do you like Babado Novo/Cláudia Leitte? They're very simillar (if you aren't brazilian that is). I like their songs Doce Paixão (Sweet Infatuation), A camisa e o botão (The shirt and the button), Amor Perfeito (perfect love) and Bola de sabão (Soap Bubble).

I listen a lot to brazilian music. Mostly Kid Abelha/Paula Toller (Pop/Rock) ; Skank (Pop/Rock/Reggae) ; Cidade Negra (Pop/Reggae) and some Forró bands.

My spinning instructor used a very good remix of an axé song in one of the spinning casses. Unfortunately, I don't know the name of the song or remix. I asked her to bring the CD so that I can know the name of the song.

sorry guys, but I think she's SO corny. I would never recommend her music to anyone as an example of brazilian music...

I'm not a fan of maria rita, but I guess she would be a MUCH better example.

Festa, Nao Precisa Mudar, Loco por ti America (Theme of "America" -a soap opera), Flor do Reggae and most songs from her solo career, not with Banda Eva. I'm saving money to see her performing live someday, probably in Porto Alegre

I listen to lots of brazilian performers too, like Los Hermanos, Titas, Vanessa da Mata, Rita Lee, Toquinho, Daniela Mercury and Babado Novo, but I haven't heard of Cláudia Leitte performing solo
