HEART STATION #1 Most Rented Album of 2008!

“HEART STATION” #1 on Tsutaya’s 2008 Album Rental Chart

According to a new Bark’s Japan article, Utada’s “HEART STATION,” released this March, was the #1 most rented album of 2008 at the 1,357 Tsutaya stores nationwide. Rounding out the top 3 were Kobukuro (”5296″) and GReeeeN (”Aa, doumo. Ohisashiburidesu.”) Congratulations to Utada.

I know! I stray away from that thread xD; Hikki fans are hardcore!

Congrads to her though! I'm not surprised she's #1, the Japanese seem to love Heart Station a lot!

I'm surprised you guys didn't know CD renting was really popular in Japan. It only costs like $2. And yeah, it's easy to make a copy, why do you think it's so popular? We actually have a few of dem kine stores here in Hawai'i, I think they're Japanese based stores though.

Whoa, I had no idea. Well, if you think about it, it's just like renting CD's from any library. We have that here in San Jose.

Only copying a CD is a lot easier than photocopying an entire book. (Is this how pirating started? Hmmm...)
