Korean Press

Is there a difference in quality between a Korean Press cd and say, Japan or Hong Kong press? I've seen these discussed before, but nothing about Korean.

Korea press CDs have the regular booklet thing but they also come with a mini-booklet inside with the album cover and lyrics in Korean ^^ They are good quality

I know that some people say that they are lower quality than japanese ones but I can't find a real difference between both presses

I got A BEST 2-BLACK- as a Korean Press. The case is VERY easily opened, but other then that, it's just as good as a JP press

I've heard from someone here somewhere that the Korean press is the only OS press that is as close to Japanese press in terms of overall quality.

I have the Korean CD+DVD version of Secret, and compared to my other Japanese-verison Ayu CDs / CD+DVDs, I really can't tell a difference in quality. They sound and look the same, really.

I have the Korean press of (miss)understood + off my day, and the quality is great! The off my day booklet is awesome quality, and the album's booklet is great as well. The music quality is fine.

I only noticed 1 thing:

- the CD falls out real easily. The.. you know "grab-arms" aren't the correct shape or something I guess. My CD fell out of the case a few times while opening it, but if you know that you can just be careful.

But for the rest it's definitely worth it! It's way cheaper than Japanese press and about the same quality

Just watch out that DVD's are another region! Japan Press = Region 2, all other presses China + Taiwan + Hongkong + Korean = Region 3! If you don't know what this means, just google "DVD Regions", or do a search on this forum!

personally i buy only japanese press because i want somethng " authentic. ayu is japanese so i want my obi and my tracklist to be in japanese + korean press have lower quality than japanese press. sometimes the color are a bit "off"/ pr paper is slimmer or not as shiny or sometimes its the case that drive me crazy , but since they are half the price . you get what you pay for

but if i have to rank i would say
1- japanese press
2 -taiwanese press
3- korean press
3-hk press
4-bootleg ( those are the worse ! )

my advice if you are buying korean press because of the price , you can obtain japanese very easily for the same sometimes even cheapper than the korean press . second hand can be great especially if only open once or in mint condition they are as good as new for half the price . it might be a better deal than korean press.

oh and as someone mention there is the region code pb too . i can read only 1 and 2 so thats an other reason for me to buy japanese press .

yes yes the cd fall of easily , i had only 1 korean press and i got so tired of the cd falling off i gave my cd to a friend with a new case because korean case ARE crappy .

I would say that korea versions are just as good as japan versions
and there's nothing wrong with hong kong versions.
