Ayu Songs & Colors

This is really silly but, did you ever wonder (not for Ayu songs only) what COLOR remind you of song? When i was younger, i even did a list for 2-3 Ayu albums and colors that remind me of that song.

Some of them (half?) are inspired of PV colors or cover art colors, but what about the songs without cover and pv?

my examples is like:

kiss'o'kill did not have any cover/pv and it reminds me of RED and DARK BLUE, dunno why.

Heartplace reminds me of BROWN and GOLD...

I know, this is silly, isnt it? But i had this in mind for a while...

Ladies Night is for me always reddish pink, with glitter and sparkles. And feathers, lol.

(sometimes the covers or PVs affect the colour in my mind lol)

and since im not the only one, I think there's really magic in Ayu's songs..i dont get this for other singers, really..not often

Most of her songs reminds me of white, black or gray but her girls only/cutesy songs are mostly red/pink

This is interesting, I never really thought of Ayu's songs as colors.

It's true though I associate some songs with their respecting album or single covers. Like Carols is pink and orange. GUILTY is brown, gold and orange.

If they don't have covers I think of the PV or the concert performance. For example, Ladies Night is pink. Kill o' kill is silver because of AT07. RAINBOW is white.

I see colors in my mind when I listen to music too, have since I was a kid. There's a bunch of moving shapes & patterns mixed in there too. "Liar" and "kiss o' kill" have the same basic color scheme to me personally, though "Liar" is a BIT lighter and a bit softer. I often describe music I like in color words, like "shiny" or "matte" or "bright" and other people have no idea what I'm talking about XD

I couldn't possibly go through all her songs and what colors I think of, but I can tell you that when a PV doesn't match the colors of a song, it REALLY bugs me. XD I love "vogue Far away SEASONS" but the colors don't match at ALL!!! So frustrating! XD

Anyway, for those of us who think of colors that AREN'T related to the PV or cover or album booklet page, this is called synesthesia and it's the most common variety of it, hearing sound and seeing colors. You should wiki it - it's actually a neurological condition and it's really fascinating.

You know, I think there was already a thread about this somewhere .
But anyways, yes....Ayu's songs do remind me of colors but that happens to me with most artists. I believe it's called 'synesthesia'...or at least loosely.

CAROLS - white, black, gold (PV colors ; )
all summer songs - light blue, orange, yellow
all winter songs - dark blue (like evening sky), white (and pink for Dolls)

it probably has to do with the album and singles covers for NEXT LEVEL, Days/GREEN and Rule/Sparkle, but EVERY SINGLE song on NEXT LEVEL gives me a pink feeling. (yes even GREEN, lol.) except Curtain call. it gives me a purple feeling.
