I think it actually helps. Some people get easily bored when they don't understand what the artist is singing/saying.

I've showed subtitled concerts to my friends, and they enjoy them much more.

In my case, i love subtitles. I'm actually making subtitles for PCDL right now (only the singing parts tho). Hopefully i'll be done in a few days .
