Wow, awesome thread! Finally something I can rant and vent about !!!!
![]() ![]() Ayaka Hirahara - she used to sing great songs at the beginning of her career...but now, everything sounds bland and uninteresting mink - the same as ayaka Hirahara, her latest releases have gotten bland. Time to look for an ORL too, because her voice is getting hoarser and hoarser at each new release. BoA - the girl miserably failed to reivent herself, and with Britney Spears out of spot- since boA is merely a shadow of her- she has lost entirely her inspirational touch. Every Little thing - I'm still shocked at what happened to the band after they released the fantastic Many Pieces...they still managed to release the awesome SORAAI, but after that, the band completely vanished into oblivion with songs that barely strike any interest at all Hitomi Shimatani - unfortunately, it's time for you to use your great vocal abilities to sing something different other than Lambada or Tales of Eternia-like songs. ![]() Hitomi yaida - Freaking god, whatever happened to this girl? She used to release some of the CATCHIEST J-Pop/Rock songs ever....but after Air.Cook.Sky, none, and I mean, none of her songs really have any replay value. Talk about bad luck ![]() Mika Nakashima - Where's the Mika who used to release absolutely lush songs like the ones for LOVE? She lost her identity trying to engage in her pseudo-rock career. Mai Kuraki - She completely suicided her suscesful career after she released her best album (with the sole exception of the cool P.S MY SUNSHINE). I miss her ultra catchy tunes like the amazing Stand Up. Rina Aiuchi - Ok, her old career was made of anime-like JPOP songs. Who cares, they were really, really cool. Then, like Mika, she had this schizophrenic idea that rock is best and decided to go with the trend and lost herself in the oblivion. shiina ringo - should never have joined Tokyo Jihen at all...oh well, at least they do have one, and I mean only one song that is indeed worth listening. It's called Shuraba, but only the single version. They were smart enough to destroy their only good song in the Adult album, Yay!!!! Overall, 2007 has been an extremely uninteresting year for JPOP...the only fantastic song I can remember so far is namie's Baby Don't Cry.
