Say the word: Hanabi

Hi there!

I have a question: Is the word hanabi something special?
Because:

Ayumi Hamasaki - HANABI
Ai Otsuka - Kingyo Hanabi (If I'm correct)
Sifow - Natsu Hanabi

Maybe it's nothing special, but I just though it was, well funny or weird.
So my real question is:

what does hanabi mean? (and what do these titles mean?)

THANK YOU

HANABI = Fireworks
Kingyo Hanabi = Goldfish Firework
Natsu Hanabi = Summer Fireworks

I don't think Ai Otsuka's is pluralised, and I'm unsure why. Otherwise that's what they mean.

Yeah, that's true... when fireworks "explode" they look like flowers, sort of.

^Hooray for Japanese's version of the "homonym"!

However, it should be noted that the characters are different. (Or at least I'm pretty dang sure. That's how it usually works)

Yeah... that's true...
Maybe Hanabi (fireworks) are special in Japan?

Or maybe the artist just love to watch it?

Yes, they are. ^^ Though they share the first character.
Ningyou - 人(human, person)形(shape)
Ningyo - 人(same as above)魚(fish)
The meaning of ningyou is specially interesting, in my opinion. That a doll has the shape of a human...

As for hanabi: I could imagine that it's probably as popular for imagery in Japan as sakura (cherryblossoms). Because they both represent something beautiful yet fleeting (love, life).

About Ningyou and Ningyou you're right: A mermaid is a "human" with a fishtail and a doll is, well a doll in the shape of a human... quite interesting if you think about it, right?
