We sop should create a FAQ with a basic "skeleton" on how to build an ayu lyric:


-Talk about two pieces that complete each other
-Talk about a mystery road you have to follow in order to find the answers
-Make sure past, present and future are discussed in the song
-Insert a mysterious impersonal character you direct your words to
-Make vague questions about the future
-If you want a sad song, the messages and questions have to lead to a despairing or inconclusive situation, if you want a happy song, the questions lead to a optimistic conclusions
-it has to be about LOVE.....or a beach.
-Insert vague statements so they can add some cionfusion on the full interpretation of the song
-Now chose some cool title that doesn't necessary have to be fully related to the lyrics but that is simple and has a signature like style. In this you can make some variation by playing with english words and create bizarre titles.

I have to agree with that, which is why I don't want ayu collaborations. She's not some hip-hop/rapper singer who needs to have ayumi hamasaki feat. ZEEBRA or whatever. I'm glad she doesn't have those. If I want to listen to collabs, I listen to koda kumi. Her discography is full of it, but then, the genre of songs she sings suit those.

I like the vibrato too. As much as people will claim it's technically flawed, I think it adds some uniqueness to ayu. I also love to sing her songs and imitate those vibratos LOL It's fun! Agasin, if I want to listen to diva's vibratos, I'll listen to Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston or some opera singer (something I won't be don't reaslly care much if songs have vibratoes or not). ayu doesn't need to master and sound like those

Yeah, I have the feeling ayu isn't so involved with her music anymore. I know this is a bunch of speculation, but we just don't see her trying to learn on how to play some instrument and neither we get more insight into her producing her songs, while we can see that in artists like Madonna.

i don't really "HATE" anything about ayu. maybe i just dislike her screenching voice sometimes in songs. like "no way to say" for example. the high parts in the chorus hurt my ears, lol. but i love the song.

Not hate but dislike:
-singing the same songs in most of her concerts.
-many rumours abt her.. ( I hate to see them. other people will have a bad perception about her.)
-didn't make pv for all the songs in the album. (I want to see pvs for all songs in her album if she can make them!)
-her life (really she's a big spender! materialism girl)
-Her dancers in the mvs
-not composing songs recently.. CREA!
-Her singles are getting lesser

I'm pretty fine with her using English as the titles of her songs.. although i would like to see some Japanese titles instead.
Her vibrato is nice to hear.. more in cds than live performances as for me. =p

this is so true.. i hate it!! is there a need to have so many interludes? especially for GUILTY, 4 out of 14 tracks are prelude/interlude. wtf?

1) i hate it when ayu is lazy to change her tune on the last note of every line. i duno how to describe it. But sometimes a syllable requires 2 different notes but ayu is jus lazy to emphasise on the 2 notes. AYU IS FREAKING LAZY!!

2) i hate it when her dancers appear in her PVs. its ok if the dancers are not dancing. but if they start to dance, it pisses me off directly like talkin' 2 myself.

3) getting more and more lack of surprises in her tours. Ayu recycled a few antics from her past tours on her first ASIA TOUR!!

4) i also dislike ayu airing her armpits. i mean yeah they are smooth but.... yeah.. like "wow i am proud of my armpits. whole world, smell it!"

Different strokes for different folks.

But seriously. Some songs people ADORE, and some songs people HATE. GUILTY has a very (miss)understood feel, and it seems like it'll probably get a ton of praise when it's performed live. A lot of the album actually would fit really well in concerts. People always love her songs more when they're done live.

And the interlude thing... I dunno. The interludes are good, so is there a problem? The only interludes that're questionable are the CMJK ones [Kaleidoscope LABYRINTH, reBiRTH] and all the others are like.. AMAZING. Are You Wake Up?, tasking, taskinst, Not yet, Mirror, The Judgement Day... all REALLY good. I do wish that she made full songs our of them though..

BAM! You said EXACTLY what i wanted to say! i love ayu to death. however, she seems to be going the american hollywood route lately and i liked that fact that before: she wasn't like that! but i still like her. ALSO:

A LOT OF HER POP SONGS SOUND SO MUCH ALIKE! -teardrop- i've start to listen to otsuka ai's super-poppy songs instead of ayu's because...i dunno... ayu's all sound the same! but i am liking her new rock songs.
