^ I prefer the former. Less choreography and what not also gives the songs a more authentic quality. However, if she wants to sing and dance at the same time, it is possible to do that without lip synching - sure it won't sound as great, but I would rather it be live. Also, with enough training and practice you can do both without them automatically having to be bad.

Also, dancing as the reason for lipsynching doesn't really account for the songs that were lipsynched that don't have any dance/choreography. (Theme of A-Nation and probably those couple of M performances that were mentioned.) I really wonder why those would ever be considered necessary to lip synch.

but all i know that morning musume's songs are not as hard as Ayu's songs...and they divide their songs in parts, who will sing first part, second part, and etc~ so that each of the members can still save their energy for their own parts.. i guess, singing as a group is that's not as hard as a solo perfomer who needs to do their own in all parts of the song~
Yes, that is true, though they also dance non-stop throughout the whole concert, so I do think it is tough even though they may split up the parts.

Actually she does sing live the whole time from my experience (seen her live twice and have most of her concert dvd and tv lives). Sometimes she has a backing track but I have never seen her completely lip synch before.
