^ I remember the last time we had a short EnergizE clip and there was all this "lip syncing conspiracy theory". Yeah, I'd say ayumisreal is right, let's not judge too much just based on a 4 secs clip

Well, I'd say it's not much to worry about, since when people watch the shows, I don't think they really give a hoot about vocals.. it's just an ~experience~ to see her do the songs live. -bright eyes-

But whatever, really. People are way too quick to judge nowadays and it's depressing, haha.

^ I agree with the "Let's not judge from 4secs", however, EnergizE reaaaally sounds like it's not live. The audio comes out completely different. Quick edit: Eventhough that too is only a few seconds...

i would actually prefer ayu to lipsynce nowadays people should lay off, who cares if she did lip sync, if they're not complaining about that it's about how bad she sounds live

I believe EnergizE was from the opening day? Anyways, I still think it's a bunch of garbage when it comes to ~playback~ but let's not get into that.

This NEXT LEVEL one was from about a month ago.

It's lame imo how people complain about bad vocals and then when she lips a song or two they freak out too. Can we just not be a-holes about Ayu's lives? They're entertaining, and that's all that matters imo.. oi.

I just love seeing her live, I hardly notice the vocals. Her overall performances always give me shivers - it's like she was born to perform on stage.

But since she's so popular, people are going to be more critical I guess >o<;

oh so with the stairs on the screen and ayu on the chair in mid air, it'll look like ayu's on the top of the stairs.

I had bad first impression of this tour...but after watching the clips, the tour does look better now...if only ayu will change some of her outfits...that would be perfect. I am really really hoping she will change them for october. Please ayu change the white hideous dress and the sparkle outfit...you already wore something like that for in the corner and evolution!

That's why I love ayu's lives the most =D
They bring the good shivers and make so much a good feeling I want to get up and sing with her too, or just peacefully sing the ballads which get beautiful performances and vocals perfomances.

So now that Ayu sucks at singing...we can all make the excuse that, because she's Ayu and her epic factor is high...her live vocals no longer matter

I bet Ayu could release a pile of dog crap as an album and people would still say it sounded totally awesome.


So anyway...the videos are nice...of course her vocals are off...the bad quality and four seconds doesn't really throw you off key...besides, it's the end of the performance...I'd bet my life and the lives of everyone I love that she's not on pitch...but it doesn't really matter...because it's just something I kind of expect now...

I'm just happy that the stage looks nice...and yeah...that's she's entertaining.

@juicy: I'd prefer her to lipsynch too...then at least she could make everything more entertaining...like she could dance or act around or something more...more than she already does...I mean, she could like...really take it to the next level I guess lol

I quite honestly couldn't care less whether or not she does to be honest.

I mean if it's songs like EnergizE, ANGEL'S SONG etc. who really cares? I think considering her hearing and her status, she can lip sync every now and then if she feels like it. I mean obviously she still sings live because people still complain about how bad she sounds lol.

FYI, I thought she sounded fine when I saw her on the 10th of May. Only Sparkle sounded bad, imo.

There are still people who actually went there and said her vocals were good.
I personally wouldn't care for any tour she did if her vocals would've bagged me.
(And I wouldn't care for her much either tbh).

Her vocals after all are what drew me to her before I even knew anything about her or actually cared for her existence

I do wish the TV version (and the DVD date) to be with the shaped-up vocals (ayu's best).
If they won't it will be rather dissapointing.

Ha, as fans, there are too many things that are too subjective... like vocals, etc. What sounds good to me, may be lipped/playback to you. Similarly, the vice-versa holds true. And even to an extent where a performance may sound good to me, might just be total crap to you.

There are few people who can sing live perfectly... and Ayu is definitely not one of them lol. I already said this a long time ago; it appears she wants to focus more on the aesthetics and 'entertainment' side of her tours nowadays. Like you know, give the audience a very beautiful visual effect?

I can't hear anything from that 4 sec clip of NEXT LEVEL, but if someone else can, and said it's bad, then it's not like I can do anything to stop him/her from saying that. Vocals, ARE, an extremely subjective thing imo.

@emiko: Lol, dog crap is subjective too (wtf, I know)... but I doubt she would even want to release such music. I wouldn't say we have any excuse now to say her live vocals don't matter anymore... but she's not the group of people who can sing live perfectly... so I'm not expecting studio quality or like "whoa" quality (if I do, then hmm...). Obviously I don't expect her to sing like my friend who's off-tune in every note, but I can live with a few off-tune notes lol.

Really quickly, because I'll make a full report later - After going to the Hokkaido show on Saturday, I have to say this in one of her most impressive concerts yet.

She sang everything live, at least at my show, (which was easy to know because she kept making mistakes with lyrics/dropping syllables - she actually forgot an entire line of everywhere nowhere). One thing to note about Energize was that it was quieter than the other songs because she was using her "cute" voice (rather well actually), but I know it was live because she was out of breath by the end. Despite the minor mistakes, her voice was awesome for most of the concert, with the one really clear exception being My All. I was extremely impressed that she didn't scream Boys & Girls like she usually does.

Actually, I was so impressed with the stage and her performance that I'm trying to find a way to see one of the last Tokyo concerts in October! While Ayu may be hit or miss vocally within a song, overall, her singing is better than I've seen on the past few DVD releases (again, based on my show)
