well because that was limited fan-only concert with very small audience, without much dances and redressing i'm sure that was fully live.
It's like you would lipsynch on your school evening^^

^ of course thats true, but i wouldnt erase the possibility, she also synched in Super Dry Live(or rather: I get the impression she did so for 1 or 2 songs) and that was very short and without much dancing as well, and 3 costume changes(which all took really long) i think, remember that we are missing the encore of TA Live Tour, however, I just watched it and I actually think that the main concert is completely free of playback(loud backing tracks for some songs like Real Me, but no playback), I actually think its the only concert after CDL00-01 that has its main portion free of playback.

Generally speaking, her early concerts 2000-2002 were completely live. A-Museum, I would have to go back and watch the tv version again, but there are a few questionable ones.(Greatful Days in particular comes to mind) Most of the time though, I agree with you that her vocals in that concert were amazing.
From that time on (with the exception of TA live), all of her concerts have some questionable performances, some of which have actually been proven.

Not according to several reports. Even someone from this forum reported seeing her mouth completely different words during Energize.

I think it depends a lot on whether its your first time seeing Ayu or not. They'll have a tendency to view things with rose colored glasses more than someone who has seen her live several times.(I know because I was the same way^_^) Or if several reports are stating the same thing, then obviously that should be given a bit more credibility than the one report from a fan who thinks everything is live.

And I also LOVE some of the performances I think that were playback(Marionette in AT08 belongs to my favourite ever performances though I think it was playback)
Exactly my sentiments as well.

And btw, I don't recall any kind of official announcement from Avex regarding lip synching at 02/03. I don't think they would ever do that. I do remember thinking though that concert was surprisingly LIVE considering the condition of her voice. I would have thought she would have lip synched more actually. The DVD of that concert though is a prime example of editing. Her mic didn't even work at all for a good portion of Everywhere, Nowhere, yet her voice is perfect on the DVD.

edit: I take back what I said about Greatful Days in A-Museum. I dug up the tv version of A-museum this afternoon (which was filmed on a different date than the DVD) and it definitely sounds live. The DVD probably features a lot of editing which would explain why so many in that concert could appear lip synched at first glance.

^ ayu did a lipping mistake in theme of a-nation, but its hard to see, when i didnt know at which word exactly i had to watch her mouth i wasnt able to spot it

@ SunshineSlayer
Oh, I thought the mic cut out in WE WISH and wondered why i heard mic sounds xDDD
And I was also positivly surprised about WHICH songs were live in CDL0203, Real Me, Free & Easy and Voyage are hard songs, yet she sings them live in that concert

About A-Museum, which was the main posts focus, after watching the tv version for the first time in a long time that concert actually looks and sounds mostly live. They just did a lot of dvd editing to make it sound better than it already did. Her voice really was just THAT good at that time period. Whatever she did for her voice then was the right thing to do. It seems the last few years she doesn't really take care of her voice; the ear is also a factor but regardless of that, the quality of her voice in general has taken a downturn since 03-05.

And yeah, Theme of A-Nation - I didn't catch it the first time around either. It wasn't until someone else pointed it out on the forum and I went back to check (tv version) and she does indeed mouth the wrong word.

A Museum was GOOD and very well done in terms of vocals! I was really surprised xD lovee that concert now

I always wonder if ayu got any vocal problems, like nodes or something, because maybe she used to sing wrongly and maybe too much as well... of course her hearing problems affected her singing too!

awww what a pity... I lovee that live from theme of a-nation '03!! it was sooooo good and she looked sooo beautiful!

Actually, I don't like the perfect concert. I love when she forgot her lines and also fell from something. It could be so special concert for me.

all i can add tot his is that, during HAPPY ENDING in AT05, you can clearly tell that they used the recorded vocals after the dramatic ending part where shuyu (?) gets carried off stage. it sounds IDENTICLE to the CD.

U cant prove anything with whatever u said. All I ever wrote makes more sense than your "I was there!!!!!!!" argument. And seriously, I don't believe that they completely replaced the audio for several songs in that tour, and that they even had the oppurtunity to do so, because she usually speaks to the audience and shouts out come on!s in songs like evolution and UNITE!.
many, many people, especially new fans, here belong to the "Ayu is perfect!"-fraction, of course they won't believe me, measuring truth by how many people think it's right is crap. Or do you say the Nazis were right because many people believed Hitler back then?
this is my favourite post out of all your amazing posts in this thread.
