Oh, I didn't know it was singles only. It's pretty cool though that one of her most recognized songs isn't a single. I can't think of many other artists who have something like that.

What I find especially interesting in that Oricon poll is how many thought STEP you was the best song in her A BEST 2 era yet Dearest, evolution, HEAVEN, and Voyage all outranked it (with STEP you not even on the list to boot!).

I think M would have to be her crowning glory. I think the time at which she wrote it, before all the pressure to compose all her songs, made this her best composition. I think it's also part of one of the biggest turning points in her career from being just a wildly popular singer to an icon and secured her place in Japanese music history.
