I'm feeling the same way about Ayu. I don't want her music to be like: *pops up on shuffle* "oh how nostalgic".
I don't want her to be a "nostalgia act" for me, you know. But it's becoming that way.

It's because the releases are so far apart atm, I think in addition to a lot of medium on the last 2 big album releases.

watching this trailer, I got goosebumps when Heaven came in, and this movie got so many of my favorite acts, Shinna Kippei, Erika Sawajiri, yuki Nakama and of course Ayu for the OST!

hope Ayu will do a great OST for a great movie again

I have realized today that I cannot stand the original mix of "Depend on you" but I fucking love ALL the remixes for that song. The Eurobeat song from ayu-mi-x 7 is life!

I only watched this movie so that I could hear HEAVEN lol. The movie was disappointing because the premise and execution was on-point, but the damn thing was so boring. Then when the action comes, it lasts for three minutes and then it's over. What.

I'm really curious on why avex chooses these weird release dates. No, I'm really curious on what's going on with her and avex ever since 2011.

On the other hand, I just got myself addicted to ayu-mi-x III Version Acoustic orchestra.

edit: I'm re-listening to Voyage -Dub's Old Style Basic remix- in Ayu-mi-x V. So at that time they already had that English sentence "We are on a journey looking for love"?? Wow why am I so late. I actually thought that it was something new they added to Voyage this year lol

I LOVE the instrumentals for vogue and SEASONS on that album. They're so gorgeous to listen to. ever free is beautiful, too.

What do you mean? I don't hear that sentence in "Voyage" o.o

Edit: Oops. Just listened to the instrumental version and noticed the background singers. I just heard that sentence because I read it on this thread, lol. It's quite hard to notice.

Ayu needs to dye her hair dark. Not just because I like her with dark hair, but for her reputation. I don't think Japan sees her as Japanese anymore. I think they think of her as a Weeaboo.

She definitely should tone it down. Her 2003 style still came around as modern but mature.

If it were up to me:
* contacts gotta go
* darker hair, ofc
*her style seems fine is No. Tokyo and off-shots, but its somewhat cringe in concerts.

Weeaboo means a non-japanese person who is acting japanese because Japan is the best place in the whole warudo desu~.
Not really a person obsessed with Europe/America. I think she's more a Westaboo

Anyway, Ayu don't really care what people said or think. Also if she would dye her hair black, people will still talk crap because she's old, untalented, ecc... ecc..

This. Part of the success behind her peak was her constant changing image. I feel like she just does novelty things for a week or two (Pink PQ hair, short FIVE hair, etc) then reverts back to the standard long blonde hair again as default.
