I don't need ballads specifically, I just want her to produce something powerful and serious. Songs lately sure are nice, but I can't feel anything from them.

Sometimes I wonder if Ayu is still herself while writing the lyrics.

It's more like "she has achieved everything she wants and now she's a living legend" → produces happier songs.

This is all speculation but what if she really is happy? I noticed a lot of people tend to label upbeat and glitzy lyrics (Probably not a word but you know what I mean, right?) as untrue and for show. Probably because they just can't relate to it which I think you admit to. I believe she is always honest when writing songs. Her emotions fluctuate, as with any human who lives a rather unstable life. She's finding love and losing it again.

most interviews where she refers to herself she pretty much states she's alot more comfortable in herself and at peace. She was a young adult then and is a mature woman now.

this fandom is just never satisfied lol.
