I feel like I'm the only one not really feeling Ayu's current hair...at least it isn't as bad as her 2011 soccer mom blonde hair (around the time of the earthquake).

I don't like it. Those bangs are no. Just like bangs from R'n'R album pics which was a no as well. Like a frickin accessory for a Lego person.

Am I the only one who doesn't really care for her lives? I would if I went in person but other than that it doesn't bother me that I can say I've never watched an ayu concert.

^Your loss, not ours.

Depiste what people say over here when they are living the WARNING lyrics, her concerts are her strongest point as a pop artist IMO, even more since 2004 when she stopped feeling like a random karaoke singer looking lost on stage.

And the massive amount of presence and energy she has doesn't realy show when she is doing TV lives.

That really depends on what you look for in a concert. I'm not really into Ayu's concerts either... they have some moments that are especially good, but I'm not into stage spectacle. I like the emotional connection between the artist & the audience and I don't get that when Ayu is up in the air or surrounded by dancers, I get that when she's just singing and making eye contact with people in the crowd. But many people, especially pop listeners, prefer the spectacle and find straight-up performance boring, and that's fine. But I find the spectacle uninteresting... all her concerts since ASIA TOUR 2007 kinda blend together for me aside from AT 2009 and POM 2011, and even with POM 2011 I'm really sad we never got to see any shows from earlier in the tour when it was more stripped-down and music-focused.

I REALLY prefer the TV lives because of how basic and music-focused they are, to be honest.

Same here. For some reason I just can't stand watching concerts for an artist. I would LOVE to go and see one live, but to watch one just never interested me... Like I was watching the tour for MY STORY and it was just so boring lol the only tour that has me interested is POWER OF MUSIC and even then I'm too lazy to go watch it lol

oh god she looked like 60yo grandma with that hair. hated it so much

i enjoy her tours but i just hate it when it's all about dancers and tranny-timmy with princess singing, no thanks. i want ayu alone or ayu with no 1 0000 00000 dancers besides her doing same dancing routine (love me, don't touch me, oh i lost him, i got him back) just boooring

I also think it's a pitty we didn't get to see the simpler concerts. I mean, wasn't it the reason why she postponed Hotel Love Songs? The special final kinda goes against the PoM Tour concept imo...

I never was particularly excited about lives either but after watching her for the first time I was consumed. Have you ever actually sat and watched one / a few from start to finish? I think many of ayu's lives are great. It became stale over the years, yes, but that's not to say that there isn't a lot that were particularly great.

I can't really get into too many lives other than Ayu's. So even if you're but a "live" person, you could still be able to find moments within ayus touring videography that completely captivate you.

She explained that the idea was to get the tour bigger over the time to match the recovery of Japan post-disaster, so, the tour started as a mourning and ended as a celebration.

Oooh, that's a way I didn't see it... Much better tbh, I thought the concert got bigger only for the footage

I do kind of feel the same way. Utada is my favorite artist in the whole world, and I actually like every song she's released, I'm kind of a hikki stan, yet the only concerts I've seen are UU06, In the Flesh (because I went to the new york show), and Wild Life (because they streamed it live for free and it was the last thing she did before going on a 5 year hiatus)

Lives never really interested me.

I love Ayu's lives. They add another dimension to a lot of songs that otherwise might not get attention. I don't really know if I am all too interested in seeing her live though for various reasons.

I find it hard nowadays to watch her concerts..especially CDLs..I end up skipping a lot of the songs because it's all too familiar at this point. She kinda shook up her 2005-2010 formula with PoM but the tours after that just seem like upgraded deluxe versions of the already tired formula.

Jewel and Heaven from A BEST LIVE are recent favourites.

My favourite concert to watch is the stadium DVD...so much energy..and the perfect balance of showmanship and musicianship.

Damn, why did I bother watching that Last Minute music video? Four minutes of that nonstop swinging light made my headache go from bad to worse. Especially since I watched it full screen with the lights off in my bedroom. Bad choices.
