I didn't really know about the importance of "愛してる" until a few years ago (where I read online), so I'm actually shocked that he used that (twice) in that tweet. As far as I know, that phrase mostly can be heard during weddings, not in daily lives.

I think it's cute as well, at the same time I know the public would definitely feel so awkward with his tweet, cuz now they really wonder if he has serious feeling towards ayu .
