Opinion on MY STORY as a whole..

I really really like her new album. So innovative! It's got a fresh feel in it. It's alive in itself. Sure her old style was really well.. it was good and maybe she should go back to it but it's also nice seeing her experiment with different styles. Also Walking Proud reminds me of Dearest.

I have to say I will surely buy this album though i'm gonna take the most important examination in my life three months later, then you know what the position this albbum sits. I am... is good but i think My Story is simply rich!
To support ayu ,i think those who are in favour of this album should buy it as well, coz it can be seen that she did put a lot of effort into accomplishing it and she really expects much about this. On the other hand, this album is really a big bargain!

Lol around the forum i've said a few times that i have a pretty laid-back taste as far as music goes, so i love this album; there's only 2 songs i dont really like, which are Honey and Humming 7/4.

from the 30 sec sample I hated HONEY but when I heard the CD quality version I totally fell in love with it. . . so now I like every single song on it, it's a nice mix of different types of songs. and yes, I even like Humming & INSPIRE. . .
and the best song on the album is and will always be; Moments.
maybe I'll get another copy for my friend. . .

If I was rating it on a scale from 1 - 10, ten being the best, I'd have to give it an 8.

As always, Ayumi did yet another great job on her album. Plenty of emotion, great lyrics, and a nice variety.

But, nowadays, her songs just aren't what they used to be. I've slowly but surely grown attached to the songs in "My Story," but this is the only album of hers where I've actually not much liked some of the songs. In my opinion, her old ones were definitely better. 'Specially the ones in the 'Duty' album.

Well after giving in to temptation and downloading the album...it is another masterpiece, not an 'I am...' but it's better than 'Rainbow', and possibly 'Duty'. I love it...it's different...the songs are nice...I don't really have a problem with any of them except for that one track...and thank god it isn't an actual song *Cough* WONDERLAND *Cough.* so overall...I can't freakin' wait to buy this album!

I think it ranks below Rainbow (and that in itself is a great feat). It's full of generally forgettable tracks. I'm personally sick of all her "light" ballads...give me a power ballad over these any day. That's not to say it's a bad album, just Ayu has done much better and I think she's capable of doing much better.

I LOVE this album, and after listening to all of the songs I can tell that she put a lot into it. As I said in a topic before, I don't think anything can beat her classic songs from A Song for XX and Duty. But she came DAMN close.

Sehr gut! No album this year kept me so much entertained than this. It has a nice mixture of different songs and I love how they organized each track. I don't mind if some of the songs are generic or too poppish. I'm a fan of BoA and many other artists that have 100% of their discography made of generic songs anyway. And I could care less if some of her new songs "adds nothing to the JPOP or POP or ROCK world", it adds to ayu discography because she didn't have songs like those, and now she has them to add to the whole variety of her discography. There are a few songs that didn't do much for me and some that could still get some settings before released but that's ok, overall the album is indeed very pleasant for me.
And the lyrics so far sem exceptional! Thanks for all the people taking their time to translate them. I hope masa will come with his translations as well soon.
