Thoughts on the JEWEL PV

The feather lashes looked cool. Overall, though, I feel like the PV is more of a commercial than an actual PV.

ayu didn't look like OMG a cow or anything. It was nice and simple and sparkly and shiny and uh... yeah

It has VERY SHIFTY cinematography. If you noticed the first scene where it follows up to the lamp, it's very very shifty. I have no idea why they can perfectly execute certain zoom ins into Ayumi BUT have such poor handling of the camera.

The other problem is that the Ayu jewel garden is obviously studio, which I don't like. If you noticed, the bottom of the sky backdrop is black, which doesn't cohere with that of the jewel plants. I would have preferred it if the sky was done all the way down so that it would be more "Ah, it's a dimension".

Am I the only one who has a problem with the PV? Despite its beauty.

*sobs* Urgh, I don't want to notice it, destroys my perception of the beauty of the PV. It's easily Ayu's best PV of the year BUT these intricate details don't escape my eyes, and they're annoying me like mad.

Wow, this is the first PV of the Secret Era that I really like. It is very beautiful; I'm not one to like eye-candy only PVs but I really enjoy this one. Instead of an interpretation of the lyrics, we get a play on the title. I loved the flowers weeping jeweled tears and the Ayumi among the thorns.

That is something that I found interesting. Everything in the video is very pretty, but then you have sharp, black thorns. I don't know if there is anything to it, but there it is.

Yup, I liked the Ayu in the thorns! Even better was that the Ayu in the thorns didn't sing at all! Ok, it's weird but I think it reflects beauty amidst suffering and pain. It's like that Ayu was from an alternate dimension and white-wintery Ayu was looking at her.

^ I like your interpretation that Ayu played on the title of her song. Yup, I thought it was a great idea she played on the song title.

Bah, I noticed another problem. Why isn't the ice cube giving out vapour? I know it's NOT an ice cube but a crystal cube. But in the PV, technically, it's MEANT to be an ice cube because at the intro sequence you see vapour to reflect "coldness". Ok, I could be a director next time.

hrm...i don't really notice the tiny details that are bothering some, and yeah, not much going on in this PV...but, i don't think it matters. it looks beautiful, its the best she's done in a long time, and for that, i am happy.

IMO it's simply gorgey. Ayu looks great and though the PV is simple, it's nice to watch.

So, sleeping Ayu disappears and then poofy Ayu comes..

And then when poofy Ayu takes out that piece of jewelry, we see thorn Ayu. Hm.

I think that in order to make the PV complete, they could've had some other person in the PV :B
