There's nothing wrong with chatting, usual conversations. Sometimes some of those discussions can be useful.

But I don't think we need threads of 30 pgs "6:00pm- I just ate ham. 7:30- I just had a lollipop. 2days later 8:00am- Today I'm eating some cheese." ..What, are people supposed to look back on these posts a year later and say, OMG I can't believe I had ham on that day at 6:00 pm.

AHS is not AIM or MSN and members should not use the forum like an IM program.

People who like posting what they eat, or whatever, every 5 minutes, just have to take it to forums that support those kinds of threads.

Correct. This is part of the rules, which each member agrees to follow when they register.

Did the posting games resemble an IM program?

Nothing, if you don't look at the world.

Obviously the staff think so. Any posts we consider spam are removed.

That much is clear. I thought that section was removed due to server problems.

The server problems were the immediate cause. However, our policy has always been that AHS should not be used as an IM, the spam was only being tolerated while our resources permitted it.

If you register and post at AHS you are agreeing to the terms of service stated in our rules and regulations. If you want to do something that's against those rules just go on AIM or another forum. Whining and crying about this is futile.
Arguing isn't going to change AHS policies, which have been in place for 4+ years.

Very admirable achievment, I must say

Let's hope it keeps going!
