There's a fine line between "inspiration" and "copy"

You'd be hard pressed to argue that a lot of today's pop singers haven't been inspired by Lady GaGa's look, image, sound and success. Everyone's going to be compared to her for many years to come, that's the kind of impact she's had on the music industry.

BUT - anything left-of-centre is now being associated with gaga, and that any artist who does something a little out of the ordinary is being called a gaga copy, which is stupid. Gaga has brought "different" to the mainstream, and a lot of artists are following that lead. That's inspiration, and really, there's nothing wrong with that. Its not copying.

Ayu has always worn pretty weird outfits as well, gaga didn't invent that. Its been done. Gaga's just taken it to an extreme no other pop star has before. And its not like we're going to see Ayu dressed like that everywhere she goes, in every performance and every video. She'd be copying then.
