Leaks and piracy are basically the same concept. You copy something exactly or nearly exactly, and then distribute it without permission. Copying a TA message and then showing it to everyone for free is really the same concept as copying a movie and showing it to everyone for free. You should be paying to get to see the TA message, you should be paying to get to see the movie, but you aren't.
I definitely don't think it's actually a good thing that stuff is distributed so carelessly across the Internet for free and leaving no money and barely any recognition or credit to those who own the material, but I've resigned myself to the fact that it won't stop. Even if it's illegal, even if AHS starts to discourage it, it won't stop. It'll just be available somewhere else. If the TA members can't take this, then they're just being childish. Either you are in the TA club because of the privileges, or you skip the privileges because they don't seem worth your money. Easy. You can choose to buy an Ayu CD for an amount of money if you want to, but if you don't want to spend any money on it you can download it for free instead. That's just how it is nowadays, and no matter how much TA complain that their privileges are now meaningless, it's not going to stop any leaking or piracy.

Except from the fact that the majority of the International fans who don't speak Japanese would hardly ever have the actual use of joining TA except from getting TA magazines and TA/mu-mo bonuses. So even if we could all join TA, Ayu's posts would be useless to the majority of us. Plus people who are TA members get to exchange longer messages with Ayu and she'll most likely read them for sure, while with twitter - it's a roulette game. I personally don't see the point of them complaining, twitter is free, if they are not satisfied with what they get from TA they should just stop paying and switch to twitter instead. I mean it's not like Ayu tweets in English all the time I really appreciate what Misa-chan, Linzamo, Delirium Zero and the others do and even if I was able to join TA I'd still want to read their translations regardless of the fact others who didn't pay could read as well. The world won't end I do understand that Japanese people might have different point of view, but it doesn't meant their point of view makes much sense.

I've seen Ayu's all singles and albums, available for free download, on JAPANESE sites. Where you can also download complete scans of every single page in a Japanese magazine, or manga, or even a book. Piracy happens all the time, it may not be OK, it may not be legal, but we were not the ones to start it. Blame the person who invented Internet instead.
You know what, this is VERY hard to believed. Japanese TA members are usually VERY VERY loyal to Ayu, and when the news broke about the death of her close friend, and the break up from Nagase, Ayu was really angry because somehow her diaries were leaked to the press. So after that, I know many TA members who really didn't want anything like that to happen again. So while you will find CDs and ALBUMs on kyo music city or so, you will almost never find a Japanese member posting information from TA to another website or blog because Japanese don't wanna break the status quo, and they don't wanna be the one who is different and doesn't follow which Ayu says.

I see them as selfish, personally. They need to get over it. I don't think Ayu will give up easily on this. They do not own her just because they pay for a fan club membership.
You know what, I'm sorry to say, but many people on this forum sound EXACTLY as childish as some of the TA members.

I can agree EXACTLY with some of the things TA members say. If I am paying for TA, yes like Misa-chan described before, I MIGHT get a ticket for CDL which I still have to pay for, I MIGHT get something good in a lottery, or I MIGHT be able to go watch Ayu perform at a TV show. But how many times does Ayu perform at a TV show now, and how many people are allowed to go? Not even 1% of TA members. CDL? CDL tickets are around 16,000 availability, and now over 200,000 members in TA. Do the math. Lotteries come once in a blue moon, and usually we have to go to the concert halls to get the lotteries.

If you imagine, around 6000 yen per year for TA, CDL tickets are usually around 7000yen, plus all other costs including transportation (shinkansen is NOT cheap), etc. That's IF they could get a lottery for the CDL ticket or tour ticket. If they can't, then they will spend 20,000 yen or more just to get a ticket. If they want to get a free gift from buying album, they still have to buy the album, and most likely the one with DVD, which costs even more. Nothing in TA is free, save for a magazine, and If I find out that International Fans will be getting all the information and access to most TA things, including diaries, I would be extremely upset that I'm spending 6000 yen for something which is readily available for free elsewhere. It's kind of ridiculous to say that TA is being greedy, when actually AHS members don't pay a dime to get any information.

TA is a FANCLUB, and is for the fans, and Ayu SHOULD give all the information to her fanclub first, because they pay for it. Now I am in Canada, so I cannot even join TA anymore. However, I don't agree with international fans who say "omg I cant join because I am overseas so give me info!" It's just tough luck. If they make it international, great. But for now, its just in Japan, and to call the Japanese fans greedy and immature is like the pot calling the kettle black.

Yes, we have to remember she is a JAPANESE artist first and foremost. Her main market, and the bulk of her fans, are JAPANESE. She HAS to cater to Japanese fans first, because they are the ones giving her money. Shes a good person yes, but at the end of the day she NEEDS to make money, it's just a fact of business. TA needs to have an incentive to continue, or it shouldn't continue at all because really if you think objectively, it's not fair to those people paying 60-70$ more than most of you guys on AHS ever will to get Ayu information.

Ok. I'm finished with that kind of talk. I wanna bring up something that EVERYONE has been talking about FOREVER. PLASTIC SURGERY. She finally addressed this in TWITTER!!!

^True! If she had plastic surgery she would have to go missing for a bit to recover, and when has Ayu ever been missing for that long, lol.

I like the way she answered that one. She didn't go "NO WAY NEVER". I think it's very smart how she answered saying how she doesn't have time for surgery/recovery. Makes a lot of sense. Straight to the point :3

Plus, make-up and edit of camera/film shooting is very common/easy these days. If something looks weird on Ayu, they might/probably/will edit it...

International TA. Enough said.

I'm glad she answered the comment about plastic surgery. Still confused on whether she's talking about recently or having the free time ever.

if they made a TAF (Team Ayu for Foreigners) it would be done with the arguing.

@ plastic sugrery tweet, i never though at it in that way. Soo possible she couldn't have surgery in her ''Ayu'' time, she just hadn't the time. So a rumor less =)

We are talking about different things... I agree they shouldn't complain, they should be happy to have twitter too... TA+twitter, we know ayu loves TA members, and if we also have the opportuity to get a direct answer, then even better...

What I'm saying is that since they pay for sth, they have the right to complain if Ayu's messages leak and the information TA is only supposed to know, is public everywhere, even if it's useless, they have the right! It's not about how close are from ayu or not, if they write longer messages and want replyes too, this is another subject! it's about the money we spent, and it's absolutely logical to complain if you see that what they promised you isn't true...

That's all!

And if they have to handle with members sharing TA contents for free and can't do nothing, but moreover they think Ayu herself tweeted info before posting it in TA is like... WTF is going on?

That's what I think that happened, I understand TA complainign about TA contents being leaked for free, it's understandable. But I don't agree wih that people (that doesn't mean is all TA) blaming ayu or twitter.

That's my opinion, nothing more...

And as maikaru said no one should call greedy TA members, is not good that some think they have the right to say ayu anything because they pay, but you all can't call TA greedy for complaining about info leaked when no one here is paying for that info... (and I know perfectly, if people who always share TA info wouldn't, everyone else would call them greedy and selfish, when in fact they can decide weather sharing or not...)

Maikaru said that, the only think we get for "free" (after paying the membership) are mags and the website info + ayu's messages, tickets and CD albums (with some gift) have the normal price too... So at the end of the year, the money we pay is most of it to be able to read Ayu and know info before anyone else... if that doesn't happen, why do you think they don't have the right to complain???

(And of course, I'm grateful to misa-chan and DeliriumZero who always translated Ayu's messages, and I pay TA but I'd want to read their translations, for an obvious reason)

I agree with aura!

Moreover, don't talk generally of TA members. Because yes, Japanese fans (of EVERY artist) are jealous of their idol but really the most of Ayu's fans are good people. They want Ayu to have a lot of fans and wherever you come from if you're Ayu's fan you're their friend. And they're always happy to know Ayu has overseas fans. My friend wrote in his mixi blog a report of the concert in Osaka also talking about the moment Ayu talked to Jorge and when I said he was a member of the same Ayu's international forum I'm in he was so happy (like: "Wooow!!! You know Jorge!! *_*" XD).
The people that conplained on twitter are just a little part of TA members, so don't blame all of them.
And as aura said they still can conplain if she shares out of TA informations that should come for TA first. I also think she didn't say anything important and it wasn't worth to conplain this time and I'm happy she didn't decide to leave twitter. Anyway, they're not wrong.. information should come for TA first. And TA only information sould be TA only.

Anyway.. please, don't blame ALL her Japanese fans like you're doing.

How she said about not having plastic surgery was like, having no time is just ONE of the reasons. So I don't think that she's had plastic surgery in a long time, even ever. If she did, she wouldn't have said "I've been told this for a long time, so I don't even care anymore LOL"

japanese are more respecful towards people and they understand that details on TA are not to be leak out, so most of them won't. it's the internationals fans that do most of the leaking....

LOL I saw this tweet before I left home actually! I'm glad she addressed this because I've always been a firm believer that she hasn't had any major work done and that it's all just make-up and now she finally confirmed it. I'm glad that she isn't insulted by the comments and that she's use to people thinking such things which means she doesn't give a damn what people think and she will continue to look how she wants to look lol.

Don't worry I wasn't saying they are greedy, just that they shouldn't really complain to Ayu as she can't stop the world from leaking her blog posts ^^ While I know that it's not right the same way leaking songs isn't, it's the way the world works and some should better get used to it.

As for her surgery comment, I am glad she openly discusses everything and not avoiding those mean tweets.

the company will lose money and all the staff including ayu will earn lesser. A lot of people ricebowls actually depends on the TA members.
Sooo you're saying that people shouldn't leave TA if they are unhappy with it because Ayu (who has like a trillion dollars) will earn less money. I'm sorry but that's really stupid. TA is business and if they're not providing a service that its customers (TA members) find satisfactory then its TA's fault for not keeping customers happy not ayu's fault personally. And if some people lose their jobs because TA shrinks then so be it, that's how the world works.

this. but unfortunately that surgery comment is going to bring in a lot of hate to her. some people are just 100% dedicated in thinking she's 100% plastic and don't think of the possibilities of super amounts of photoshop and make-up. -sigh-

Being a Japanese/living in Japan doesn't mean you're any closer to ayu.

Get a chance to go to every concert? Of course, if you pay. TA doesn't go to concerts free, you know. Get special items, true, but YA and CDJ also offer the same goods nowadays. Get TA magazines, yeah, we pay 6,000yen a year for 4 magazines. I could buy a dozen of the back issues online for half the price. Besides, the mag scans appear on AHS almost immediately. Same for TA diary translations and latest news.

So what's there to complain about? When you think about it, TA members are at a disadvantage here. The "poor international fans who get nothing"?? They get everything nicely wrapped and packaged for them on AHS, IMO.

Sorry if I sound horrid, but I'm just really frustrated that you guys just keep lumping all TA fans into a crazy-hater-group and throwing all the blame on them (without good reason).
I never said us "poor international fans get nothing"...I said the only way we have to interact with Ayu is through twitter, and I am not saying that you, yourself, are ungrateful or whatever towards Ayu because you happen to be a TA member. I just don't understand why these Japanese TA members are acting childish towards Ayu. She has fans all over the world, it's only natural she would want to connect with all of them. Maybe she should just discontinue TA all together since everyone feels so "ripped off" or whatever.
And about the plastic surgery issue...I'm pretty sure she means she's never had that kind of free time. Seriously. People do not seem to understand that heavy make up and photoshop are pretty much the staple with Ayu.
