I haven't seen the movie and just one episode of the drama. So, I don't know which one is better. But I'm 100% sure Erika is a better actress. Doesn't get better than this girl!

For me i dun think the drama series is nice..I am watching the drama until ep8 now..But i get sleepy when watching it in ep 7 and 8...It is bored..

About her voice, I don't know but it annoys me sometimes. It can be soothing, but I can't listen to her songs one after another. Once is a while is nice, but I wouldn't be able to listen to her album completely because I can't really stand her voice. (though I really like her music style) I don't know why, but I don't like her voice as much as other artists.

For me, Erika is one of the best actresses I've ever seen. That's why I'm pretty sure she beats YUI when it comes to acting.

For me, Yui wins by a land-slide. Yui's Goodbye Days has so much more emotion. Sawajiri Erika's is just weak and it is shown in her acoustic versions

YUI for me. It seems more sincere and heartfelt than Erika's effort. Plus I think Erika has a little bit of a problem supporting her voice, whereas YUI's voice is more powerful.

But it seems like Erika's single is still doing very well anyway.

Yeah. Totally agree! Yui's singing was so much more sincere. Hmm, I am not suprised though that Erika's single is selling well

Good-bye days is such a good song, it cannot be beaten by "average" good song like Erika's.

Erika's version is infinitely better.. She sounds precisely like what Kaoru should sound like - not some pitch perfect professional, but just an average girl. She sounds so fragile and strong at the same time. Yui's song was technically perfect but it lacks that 'vibe'. It feels too professional for Kaoru's character..

It isn't about who composes, writes or arranges. It's about the song itself. Which is better? "Taiyou no Uta" or "Good-bye days"? Not who is better as an artist.

I guess it's cause I feel like this is reminding my of Hilary Duff and Lindsay Lohan.. o-o LOL~

I do like Good-bye days more though. imo, I don't think Erika Sawajiri will go past being this 'Kaoru Amano' figure.. I think if it were like Kaoru Amano feat. Erika, then there might be hope for some sort of future independent release without the TnU tie-in..

Then again, Erika could go all Aya Ueto on us :p

YUI and Ai Otsuka are the type of voices that I hate..
so i gotta vote for Erika..

However, Erika's voice was pretty good at the first few seconds. Once she reached the chorus, i was like "ew"...
ruins the whole song

I think both songs were pretty good. I personally like Good-bye Days better though. Sure, Erika has a better voice than YUI, but she doesn't know how to use her voice. YUI has much more control over her voice than Erika does. Plus, the emotional performance of YUI in Good-bye Days made the song more memorable for me.

Erika's version is more catchy, so I think I'll vote for her.

But I don't think it will be as easy for some record company to sign Erika as it was for Ueto Aya because Ueto Aya had a squeaky-clean image and was liked by almost everyone in Japan. And her voice sucks (but that's not really important in the industry). Plus, I don't think SONY MUSIC had any intention to sing with her because of the lack of her name in the promotion of the song/single, but after the HUGE sales maybe they changed their minds.

I love Erika to death by her acting and singing. Although, YUI has an awesome voice, but Erika has good voice, but not as strong as YUI's, so I pick her. I love both the songs though.

The dramas look a bit interesting too.
